Tea is excellent this morning.

Back into work after a week off.

I can do this.

I made way too much lasagne.

It might have overflowed a bit into the oven. This does, however, mean there are some good crispy bits.

I finally have had a calmer day.

I am having kitty cuddles and knitting my way through the first clue of a sock along.

Feeling better.

Hence why I don't really watch the news anymore. I just end up feeling sad and angry.

Oh mate. My brain does the exact same thing. I grew up in a loving but stressful environment, and it feels like I'm still, constantly, worrying about what can go wrong and managing my emotions/actions/thoughts to avoid potential conflicts.

I just wanted to say, you're not alone. You can get through this too. Deep breaths help me.

Having super intense anxiety dreams at the moment. This morning it was waking up and being unable to walk properly, staggering into the bathroom to see that my eyes were bulging and my irises were fully blown, and thinking that my husband hadn't called an ambulance.

Literally the first thing I did when I actually got up was check my eyes in the mirror. Totally fine. Wish these dreams would stop.

So we have landscapers here at the moment to help us finish the backyard and lay some turf. They have the radio on, playing B52's Love Shack at a decent volume, and one of them is singing his own lyrics. "Gonna need a chiro cos my backs fuuuuucked". "Every body moving, everybody grooving to the Buffalo, buffalo baby!".

I am trying so hard not to audibly laugh. I think they forget I'm inside and can hear them.

Cutest thing just happened.

I work from home, in the garage most of the time. I just left the garage to come into the house, and the fluffy little dude meowed at me, walked to the bedroom and meowed again. I followed him and he jumped up on the bed and meowed, so I sat down and he went straight onto my lap! Totally made my day, he's not a super outwardly affectionate cat very often.

6 months after leaving my old workplace, I got a email last night asking where things were. I can't even.

I asked the google lady what Ballarats weather will be like this weekend and I swear I heard laughter from the speakers.

Gotta get through today, then off to the freezing landscape that is Ballarat for the weekend. I can do this.
