Data should be socialized and machine learning algorithms should be nationalized for public use.
I saw a flyer on a light post yesterday that said "Are YOU a communist?!? Go to wwwdotsocialistrevolution.com and join today!" and I immediately thought, "wow feds are getting agro"
I don't even know if I fully understand the difficulty of cutting ties with Israel, and the more they push the limits the less I think I understand what's so goddamn important about them as an ally
It's my life mission to befriend a crow
It drives me up a fucking wall that WiFi is the de-facto local device communication protocol. There are so many reasons not to use it.
I will admit, him being on drugs did not occur to me as a possible explanation for his 'taking tesla private' tweet that torpeedoed his networth, but having been confronted by it now I am having a hard time not believing it.
25 to lease it. You don't ever really own it
I'm startled by the specific shout-out to the instance i'm on, since:
- I didn't think midwest.social was particularly big and,
- having grown up around a lot of liberal and extreme reactionary politics, I would not have expected there to be a lot of overlap between the midwest and an ML community
I am happy to be experiencing a little discomfort by all the "new" ideology, as I am well aware of the limited social and political bubble that is constructed around me. Specific political stances aside, I can say I do feel right at home with the somewhat irreverent tone of the comrades here. Hopefully midwest.social and lemmy/kbin at large can adopt the emoji implementation you have here so I can join the fun.

I tried using outlook this year for the first time in 15 years, and immediately NOPED the fuck out when I noticed it displayed ads in-line with my inbox.
And then there are those rumors that they want to display ads in the settings panel. Fuck Microsoft, they have ZERO trustworthiness in my book
The one thing the Reddit exodus has taught me, is that I'm almost eager for a reason to ditch my social media and either find something new or simply take back that time and do something more fulfilling anyway.
I'm so much happier not being constantly blasted with advertisements, that now when I have to go back on insta or FB for whatever reason, I can't stand more than 30 seconds before I nope back off.
Looking forward to axing YouTube from my life next.
The problem with this ruling was that they left "official act" incredibly vague, giving the SC the power in determining legitimate acts that are immune
People keep saying Biden should just order a drone strike on the justices or his opponent but the next court could just be like 'nope, not allowed' and throw him in jail
They really need to clarify it so that the SC can't legislate from the bench
