No, I've never tried to quantify the variables in that way. Just out walking the dog, and notice this strange behavior from time to time. I always assumed the poles were placed a specific distance apart, but honestly, I'm not sure. I suppose if I ever have the urge to pace it out to get a good estimate, I will...
Thanks to the dev. It’s by far the most polished Lemmy app for iOS right now , and I’ve tried just about all of them.
The pricing is like, a week of morning coffees, so I’m not really sweating it. And that $14.99 for a year is a great option at $1.25/month if thirty bucks will break you.
I’m happy to have bought pro lifetime, and glad you’ve put the number of hours in developing Avelon. I look forward to seeing how it matures.
Oh, just FYI, I LOVE that Avelon is portrait only while scrolling threads. I browse a LOT with the phone while on the couch, or lying in bed, and currently NO other app stays in portrait when sideways. I don’t know any savages who read in landscape. That’s rightly reserved for videos or wide photos, in my opinion. It took Christian YEARS to figure out a toggle in Apollo where you could lock to portrait while browsing text, and auto-rotate only for videos or landscape-only media. It was why I bought Apollo Pro lifetime, finally! But, here’s your Pro lifetime subscription from me, so thanks for making it the way I like it already… ;)
Cheers
Yup, getting authentication errors on Memmy for iOS now, as well. I'm back to browser-based for now...
No worries. Happy to help. I’ll post up something later for feedback on what participants are looking for.
Cheers,
Joe
Sure. I’m definitely of the opposite mindset. “Buy once , cry once,” is my philosophy. I wasted too much time and money in my youth, so always try to save up for quality items.
Which isn’t to say that one can’t find inexpensive things that are of good quality, of course.
Cheers.
Heh - I think this is just an old drainage ditch. I imagine post war it was mostly a sewer…. ;)
When were you there last? I hadn’t been since 1990. A lot has changed, of course. But, it’s still a great place to visit.
lol. Actually, that’s my son’s room that I turned into my mancave when he left for college. I’m just too lazy to repaint it…. :)
Heh. Entirely unintentional (I think - maybe it’s subconscious?). In 1990, I originally ordered a Clapton Strat in Midnight Blue, but it was taking so long I asked what they had in stock, and they had that Frost Red one, so I took that instead. I really wanted a blue Rickenbacker, but couldn’t find one on Reverb that I like (no chips or wear), so I ordered new from Sweetwater, and I liked Fireglo better than Jetglo or Mapleglo. The Ultra Strat - I really wanted an ash body, and that was the nicest color in the series with an ash body. I guess the red theme just sort of happened…
I highly recommend it. It is remarkably easier these days, with Google maps for transportation. Public transit is amazing there. I’m fortunate that since my mother is Japanese, language isn’t much of a barrier for me, but I saw tons of folks using Google translate just fine. And the dollar is strong against the yen right now, so it’s a great time to go there!
Because Korea is more developed, I would imagine. And Syria has state department advisories as a dangerous location for Americans to travel. Teaching English is a good way to travel abroad and not have it cost a lot, since they have guaranteed employment in their host country.
The program my daughter is on does all of the hard work in finding a place to live, arranging a vehicle, work visa, all of those complications for a young person living abroad.
I work in K12 IT, and the reason is that all manner of categories are defined for both blacklisting and whitelisting when creating content filter rules. So while “education” would not be used for blocking, it would be useful for rules to apply to specific defined groups or devices which can only access specific categories (such as education). Just FYI.
