Perfect thank you!

[–] bloubz@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 21 hours ago

Thank you that's right

Honestly I never understood why Trump's administration wanted to close RFA. And to judge them "filled with far-left" is crazy. It's a CIA product

Sorry for the naive question, is this really from Zohran's dad?

[–] bloubz@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 3 days ago

No worries, it's understandable. And I don't blame people. Especially for not taking a train that does not exist

[–] bloubz@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Unrelated to the question but this makes me think the US is so cooked for not having trainlines. I haven't flown for years and glad I haven't

This is my 1000th comment on Lemmy and I think it's a good time to take a look back. It's already been 2.5 years, and although I haven't participated much, I feel I have started to learn a lot and grow politically thanks to Lemmygrad, Hexbear more recently, and a few comrades on lemmy.ml and other instances (even the occasional .world). 2 years ago I was very much a lib. Now I sometimes take the time to read through articles, made a list of books to read and bought a few, to my family and I. To reflect, time passes too quickly and I haven't read the tiny Engels book on my night stand. I'm lucky enough to not have a physically demanding job but at the end of the day I'm still exhausted and drained. I wish others in my branch could realize we are very much exploited, even though it is at different degrees. Another bothering point is that even the leftist of my friends has a hard time challenging the non stop propaganda we are fed, and it's depressing

This comment was a mess. Thank you Lemmygrad, keep it up, and for those who have the energy to explain basic things to liberals: yes, it matters

~~Ok that was a bit funny~~

Edit: ah that wasn't a joke, it was just idiotic

I honestly don't have enough time in my day to waste drinking something else than water. I couldn't do it

Yes you're absolutely right to question the source! You should always do that

This doesn't have a strong real vibe and we don't really need this example to be true so idk who would try and find the original tweet with success after some already failed

There are so many articles and tweets out there with false accusations that have been debunked, this can be taken as an example meme to easily illustrate the issue with propaganda we encounter in our lives.

Sometimes it is that blatant, like "tank man" being cited as having been run over by tanks going to Tiananmen Square, even though it is easily checkable that the tanks were going OUT of the square in the morning after the riots, and videos of this man exist from the same view point, showing him walking on the tank and talking with the soldiers for some time before going off

Remember countries in the Dontesk region have declared their independence after the coup d'état in Ukraine and after Ukraine bombed the region. Ukraine has never respected this independence

I think Louis Rossman has a video explaining why F-Droid is not great

I've noticed recently (a couple of weeks) that searching for emoji via the search bar in the emoji panel seems now to be impossible in Google Board when the app does not have internet access (for privacy reasons).

The error message translates to "Emoji search data in unavailable". It only says this when my native language/keyboard layout is selected, not on US English QWERTY. There, search works as usual

Is it something already talked about? I do not want to enable internet connection on this app because of Google telemetry (I don't have GSF installed and use GrapheneOS)

Thanks for any bit of information/advice on this

How entitled do you have to be to freely expose this kind of theory on a post about consipary theories?

Original comment:

"I once heard of a pediatrician who successfully convinced a concerned mother that anti-vax ideology was likely a psyop by the Russians to weaken the health of the American populace starting with our children. Doesn’t hurt that it’s probably true.

EDIT: My personal conspiracy theory is that the Chinese government did engineer (or at least selectively cultivate) COVID, but not to kill Americans. In the early days of the pandemic there was some speculation that it affected some blood types more than others, particularly type A. While no link to blood type specifically was found, type A is a more common genetic trait as you move out of Asia and towards the middle east. China has been heavily persecuting the Uyghurs (Chinese Muslims), and those who have managed to get out of the camps have reported medical experimentation and being injected with unknown substances. In addition, the virus would also kill a significant number of the older population, which is important because of the population crunch they’re about to experience due to one-child policies resulting in a high amount of female-specific infanticide. They’re about to have a bunch of old people and a massive shortage of able bodied young people to care for them. Even if they didn’t directly “engineer” the virus in a gene-sequencing manner, they have a lot off motive to just generally cultivate and spread (you can’t really “breed” a virus) an infectious disease targeting people of middle eastern descent and elders.

Thank you for coming to my tinfoil-hat Ted Talk."
