I actually knew it was a scam and I normally don't click on them. But I'm glad I'm glad I posted it.

That's interesting I didn't think about that fourth point, but whenever I get a verification SMS it does always come from a 5 digit number.

Url looks suss. Seems kinda sophisticated for the usual ups fishing scam. Here's the text message I got leading here.

"Wishing you a bright and sunny day!" Lol, I almost want to help this guy by explaining that UPS and American companies in general have disdain for their customers and would never wish them to have anything that would not benefit the company.

As a fairly proficient desktop Linux user for many years, I've always been curious how much of that knowledge would translate to getting a cert like this. I'm definitely not down playing the significance of these.

Just pulled the trigger, only had European plugs in stock. I've got adapters so np. I'm getting it to replace my Raspberry Pi router that I've been using for a few years.

*Edit, I should say I'm a huge fan openWRT despite the fact that 15 years ago I managed to brick my linksys router so bad it actually caused sparks to shoot out the ethernet jacks. I flashed the wrong model firmware.

AI is just trending. NFTs and before that crypto had their moment, and they really were everywhere. It was shoehorned into places that didn't even make sense. And I think sane investors realized that and pulled out.

This is a wild ride. You have to assume the mayor was targeted for trying to reign in police spending. The guys involved including the former police chief need to be held accountable. This one might be kinda tough for the union to sweep under the rug because they actually killed a government official. If they all truly were resigned, why were they performing supposed "police business", by attempting to apprehend the mayor.

*Edit - so I guess it was the state police that killed him after the city cops quit. Doesn't change the fact that this sure looks like retribution.

Short week, but I'll take it.

Yeah, these young orcas today think they know it all. Always vandalizing yachts, and harassing the poor seals. I'm like just eat your food. Stop flinging it around.

Someone give that courtroom artist a raise. That's his Magnum Opus.

The policy is you can only work from home when it benefits the company, not you.
