Musk would require The Jackal, or someone very talented, patient and cunning.

His security team now operates like a mini-Secret Service, and he is guarded more like a head of state than a business executive, security experts said. Mr. Musk, who was once flanked by two bodyguards, travels with as many as 20 security professionals who show up to research escape routes or to clear a room before he enters. They often carry guns and have a medical professional in tow for Mr. Musk, who has been code-named “Voyager” by his security team.

Also, a Supreme Court justice who has taken millions in bribes ruled that bribery is legal. It's hard to have faith in the system when the nation's highest court is rotten to the core.

He has been on house arrest since 2020 after 9 years in prison and only had 2 years of house arrest left. His sentence was commuted but he wasn’t part of the pardons, so there’s no change to his status as a felon. All this means is they are removing his ankle monitor less than 2 years earlier than scheduled.

All the other cases where they sentenced someone with a federal gun charge for lying on the form were plea deals. ABC said they couldn't find any instances of someone being charged and convicted on that charge alone. You can't say this wasn't a politically motivated prosecution when the charge has never been used that way before.

I just finished Bob Brier's History of Ancient Egypt lecture series and he talked about this. They were the chief manicurists to the pharaoh. The lectures are over a decade old but really good - his enthusiasm for the subject is contagious.

They were going to bring charges but the primary witness was the victim, who is or was a sex worker. Since the defense would just say, "You can't trust a prostitute over a US representative.", they decided not to proceed.

I’ve got a big pile of lumber I had milled that is almost finished drying. I’m buying up the remaining woodworking tools I need to process it into various items. The American made options are out of my price range.

He can’t get elected again

He's going to start talking about a third term within a month of taking office. At first they're going to write it off as "jokes" and then he's going to push it to the supreme court.

There are lots of people out there who think that inflation means how much prices have risen in some recent period of their memory. If something that cost $3 in 2018 is now $6 and you tell them inflation is at 2%, they will be completely bewildered as to how this can be true. There are also tons of people who don’t understand why deflation is bad or undesirable. If you can’t tell who is lying to you because you have no idea how the economy works, you’re just going to choose the one you remember as being better.

I think most didn’t vote because they are apathetic, ill-informed morons with the attention span of a gnat. They don’t understand inflation, tariffs, deflation, international relations, trade, renewable energy, oil production, gas prices, vaccines, healthcare, or much of anything else. They also don’t care to learn about how anything works. It’s not like the last chapter of the history book on the United States is going to blame the pro-democracy candidate for not doing enough to appeal to a public that was too lazy to continue living in a democracy. They have access to more educational resources than any humans in history and they just ignore it.

I feel like he should attempt to order that to see if anyone is willing to carry it out, for no other reason than to see if they're willing to do the same when Trump orders it.
