Whether you used Sync or not, we could all use more app competition in this space.

https://lemmy.ml/c/playstation is shown as deleted. And the only mod is showing their account deleted as well.

They are aware. I think it's a bug in BE 0.17.4

Hi! I'm the mod over on https://lemmy.ml/c/ps5

We are currently afflicted with the remote moderator bug, meaning that you'll get a "404 community not found" message.

Here is a link to the GitHub issue: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3075

We are still accessible at https://lemmy.ml/c/ps5@lemmy.ml

When the new backend update rolls out it should be fixed. Until then we unfortunately don't show up on browse.feddit.de or lemmyverse.net

I've been working really hard to build a great community over there and a little bug like this just knee capped our discoverability. The only thing I can think of doing is posting this on other gaming communities to spread the word.

I'm not sure if this is just a heavy load issue or a bug or a result of the migration of Lemmy.ml to a new server. But essentially, posts from Lemmy.ml users cannot be seen via other instances. I've tried this with my lemmy.world account and I can't see anything I post from my lemmy.ml account. It was not like this prior to the migration of lemmy.ml to a new server just a few days ago.

I checked and lemmy.ml and lemmy.world are still federated.

Does anyone know what is going on?

Not to defend reddit or anything, but the linked post and comment are 1 month old.

[-] cosmicsploogedrizzle@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 year ago

Clarification: not my project. Just found the post and wanted to share.

Redreader dev said they were going to build their app to work with lemmy, hacker news, and other sources. Hopefully others follow.

When there were limited options for reddit, devs came and build the first apps. There is opportunity in lemmy now, so I'm sure others will pivot

[-] cosmicsploogedrizzle@lemmy.ml 12 points 1 year ago

It's a known issue that already has a fix that needs to be merged. It's an unfortunately by product of how the app currently handles images in the comments section.

[-] cosmicsploogedrizzle@lemmy.ml 12 points 1 year ago

It's coming. They are working on a new frontend at the moment and then the apps. For now you can install the website as a PWA using chrome or firefox. It makes kbin much better on mobile.

To anyone here coming from Apollo/Sync/Reddit or some other 3rd party app. I am the mod over on !ps5@lemmy.ml . Feel free to stop by and check it out! I have other useful links in the sidebar to help anyone find other communities and generally navigate the fediverse. I've been here for just a few days, but I have learned a lot and these links might help jump start your lemmy experience!
