The student says thanks, and is very proud of her work. She had an extra, that she turned into a fridge magnet.

The issue is what happens to the things they make after they’re made and who benefits.

The exact same as when any machinist is given a job. Should people get paid extra, because it's a nice part (rhetorical question, change the law if they should)? We're not selling any products (in fact that would be illegal, because it would distort the competition on the market).

Gifts? You mean the things you tell them to make or are you talking about other things they give to you?

I mean the 4 giftbaskets I've gotten from the 7 classes I've taught so far. And the extra things like a soda or a piece of chocolate. Just like I give my classes a soda from time to time. I guess there is a problem with that as well...

I've explained enough... If you still don't get it, I can't help you.

Sure you have the right to believe what you want. Maybe youre used to a shithole country like america, where people are more exploited.

The schools apprentice makes whatever we tell them. They are in unions and have the same rights as everyone else. And the same rules goes for our workshop as everywhere else in this country.

P.S. the gifts I get from my students also tell me how miserable they are.

She is a paid apprentice to the school. When someone loses their contract or cant find a place to work, we offer help.

This is to keep them busy and challenged (the curves are programmed by hand). And its also to make nice, shiny stuff for me.

Every single one fits and works perfectly. And the curves makes them feel great.

dozens of elite Israeli soldiers were wounded, and their cries were heard throughout the area.

I just realized how much I've changed in this past year...

If you ask Israel, they have no problems with bombing many civilians to get a target.

New pillow.

You don't have to make things complicated here. If you want to tell people that you use Linux, just say that.

Jeg sad og havde JRR TOLKIEN '1892-1973' - A Study Of The Maker Of Middle-earth kørende, da jeg pludselig hørte en velkendt stemme.

Why report, what a crying murderer thinks?

[-] danekrae@lemmy.world 113 points 5 months ago

Poor Israel can barely afford to murder children anymore.

Running distance over time. I still can't run 5k without walking about 20% of the way.

And it's not going fast either, but I'm still proud of the progress. The data is keeping me going.

EDIT: Thanks for the support! The legs still don't want to do, what I want them to. But they will learn, who's the boss eventually.
