Sure, it's open-source, but Google essentially controls it. That is literally why they forked WebKit. And websites are starting to rely on Chromium's quirks. Firefox and Safari will have to choose between following standards or Google's quirks. Not ideal at all.

Survivorship bias. Most of us who care left already and are exploring the alternatives.

Toxic positivity is absolutely a thing.

u/spez insists that old.reddit isn't going away, but he's already proven himself to be untrustworthy.

Both. I'm using the site on mobile and on desktop, not an app. My settings reflect that my default feed is set to Subscribed, but it gets reset to All whenever I go back to the home page, regardless of whether I change it to Subscribed from the home page or in the settings.

I've been having fun checking out the alternatives. I'm honestly not sure whether I like Lemmy or kbin better.

Yup, they bought it just to scrap it and write whatever the hell the current app is.

My home feed keeps getting reset to "All" even though I changed the home feed to "subscribed" in settings. Am I missing something?

One would think so, wouldn't one?

Spez is delusional.

I am on both, admittedly. Hard to say which one I prefer so far, but I really wish kbin had an iOS app. Lemmy has mlem, but I still have to use the site in a browser to do much of anything right now
