This is what the company valued itself as being worth. Not what it's actually worth. So I'm not sure if Elon is trying to over or under value here, but I'm guessing over.

The dude that runs that site and writes most (all?) of the articles writes some wild conspiracy stuff. Is there a credible source for this? Like from a person who hasn't said stuff like "If Ossof and Warnock win Joe Biden will have the votes he needs to impose Communism.".

It can't be enforced outside of their borders. And it's barely enforceable inside of them. Matrix chat will probably get more popular. Proton, and other private email services, will still exist. This seems like people who don't understand tech trying to regulate it.

ETA: if you think this is enforceable, look at how common piracy still is despite it being illegal in most places. VPNs, onion routing, alternative DNS, etc.

US State Dept. Officials Told Not to Use Terms 'De-Escalation/Cease-Fire' About Gaza - just... big sigh.

According to HuffPost, which reviewed official emails, "State Department staff wrote that high-level officials do not want press materials to include three specific phrases: 'de-escalation/cease-fire,' 'end to violence/bloodshed,' and 'restoring calm.'"

I wonder what could have provoked an attack like. Perhaps decades of oppressive occupation. Constantly escalating violence isn't going to fix this. But Israel is the side that can choose to end it by ending apartheid. All the imprisoned can do to improve their situation is try to fight out of it.

It's not inevitable, you could stop apartheid.

And I'm sure the investigation will reveal no foul play.

I really wish people would learn SQL instead of learning all the languages/tools that write SQL for them. Why are we abstracting this from ourselves? Is it really that hard to write some set based operations?

This dude is a big part of why I dove into tech as a kid. Absolute legend.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. But I love that I can swap my ports around on my framework laptop. Especially after my display port got broken last year (cable got snagged). Instead of it being damaged until I replaced the laptop, I ordered a new module for $20.

Eta: I'd love to see a partnership between them in the future.

x is used for map, filter, etc. a and b are used for sorts, comparisons and merges. y might be used if I'm doing multiple lambda expressions (but that means I'm in a bad place already). I have no idea why, but these are firm rules in my brain.

Germany has very strong anti-hate laws and far fewer bigots than the US. That seems to prove that aggressive rejection of hate stops it's spread instead of strengthening it.
