As in if you get the update you can't apply the hacks? Am I good if I have an old hacked one or do I need to watch our for Nintendo doing some sneaky update that'll brick it? I hacked mine like 4 years ago but I haven't touched it a while so not sure if I need to do anything else.

If I'm spending less time staring at my phone and more time picking up a book or something, all the better for me. I've found myself engaging more and doomscrolling less though, so the time feels more well spent even though I'm spending less time then I would have on reddit.
Wow that's a great list, thanks! I'm seeing a lot in here I've never tried.
I've got a soft modded 3DS I haven't touched it in a while, but I'd love to find some new title to get back into it. What are some of your favorite games?
I don't care if all the subreddits come back. I've already deleted my account and will not be going back.
Stash it all somewhere or migrate it here if possible, then torch the place. Users will follow the content, if the /r/piracy userbase all move somewhere else, then that platform will grow and we won't have to put up with reddit anymore.
Reddit's main strength lies in it's userbase. If everyone migrates to other platforms, then Reddit will no longer be worth visiting. I wish more big subs would go down indefinitely, a two day blackout will accomplish nothing if everyone just goes back to reddit.
Exactly! I used to think of reddit like that, until it became something...different. I've found myself going back to old forums instead of reddit lately.
Reply directly from Inbox works fine for me, both in website and in Jerboa app. What are you using to connect?
Also, I found this to be a pretty good ELI5 https://tech.michaelaltfield.net/2023/06/11/lemmy-migration-find-subreddits-communities/
I'm using Jerboa on Android and I can click a comment to hide all children under it. On lemmy.ml on the website I can also hide children by clicking the little minus next to the username.
Is there any reason to ever do a system update now that the shop is closed, or can I just happily go on ignoring that and install homebrew and cias to my hearts content?
