Social Security Numbers are such a weird thing. Over here we've got an official rijksregisternummer that you get assigned at birth by the state and can be used to identify you. For some reason the USA decided that something like this is against their Freedoms ©®™, but when an agency gave people numbers for something completely different, that was never build to identify everyone in the country, everyone decided this is great to identify everyone in the country, so now everyone uses this system for something it was never built for.

These are valid complaints tho.

I want them to disappear.

So you want Google to have a true monopoly over the browser market?

These large companies really need to learn that AI isn't a good tool for black and white decisions.

Right now I'm working on a system with drones and image recognition for farmers to prioritise where to use pesticides, in order to decrease the use of pesticides in the EU. For these things AI systems work really well, since it's just prioritising regions.

It's a bad idea to use it to make discrete decisions.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

If it's impossible to fast forward the ads, that means the timestamps of the ads have to be send to the browser, so adblock should be able to use that data.

I think Verlan is pretty neat. We had a full lesson on it in middle school because of one of our country's most popular musicians, Stromae, which is Verlan for Maestro.

Over here in Belgium we do, I thought that's how it's done in most countries. It makes more sense to me too, you get your salary monthly (or maybe fortnightly like you) and you talk about your rent, debt payments, ... also on a monthly basis.

It's crazy to see how the city centre of Ghent (Belgium) changed when they banned non-emergency cars from people not living/working in the centre. It went from some huge carparks with a few people walking between them to large squares filled with people enjoying the city and people who live here.

Every day I bike besides the Coupure channel to the train station and in the city I work in, I walk to the office besides the Dender river. Good infrastructure is basically keeping my mental health afloat.

Not American, but I try to buy most of my daily stuff from independent places instead of supermarkets. The social contacts at my local butcher, bakery, vegetable shop, fish shop, ... is also much more enjoyable than stressing in the Colruyt or whatever. And the produce is way better.

Once they get to know you, they often give freebies too, like offcuts to make bouillon. And you get free cooking tips as well!
