Hey, I encountered this error too. Check to see if your instance has blocked image hosting recently. Many have been doing so recently due to the CSAM issues on !lemmyshitposting@lemmy.world.

You'll need to host your image on an image hosting site, for example: Imgur or imgbb.

They were not joking when they said they were focusing more on seasonal/endgame armours!

Love this a lot, but can't help but feel they held back a little on the Warlock set? It looks a little plain, comparatively.

Yeah, I find myself more looking forward to the Wednesday articles than for the TWIDs.

I was kinda hoping to see a seasonal artifact and new Strand aspects sneak peek, but looks like they're keeping those for the showcase?

What about a 3D chart, with the 4th axis being portrayed via the Hue value of the point on the chart? That would make it somewhat readable.

If you don't want to spend on a Pixel for GrapheneOS, have you considered CalyxOS or LineageOS? CalyxOS only supports a few devices outside of the Pixel range, while LineageOS covers a broader range.

I can't vouch for them personally, as I haven't used them, but I've heard good things about them.

I made the switch to GrapheneOS about 2 weeks ago and used this website for reference.

Although I couldn't find my bank in the list, I found it worked fine anyway after install.

I thought every piece in the British Museum was either "missing, stolen or damaged"?

I'm afraid I'm only familiar with the 2-axis political compass: Left/Right and Auth/Lib.

How many axes do you think there should be in an effective political chart, and what aspects of a political position should each one represent?

Yeah, the gist I seem to be getting from GN's video is that there is a lack of due diligence and journalistic integrity at LMG w.r.t. testing products, primarily because they're unnecessarily rushing content out.

[-] goddamnpipes@feddit.ch 3 points 1 year ago

Nice one, thanks! I tried watching the start of the GN video about this, but it felt like being dropped in the middle of the situation and it assumes you have some prerequisite knowledge. I'm only loosely familiar with LTT.

I'll go give the video another chance now.

I've been seeing a few posts about this, and judging by comments I've seen on posts related to this, there's been bad sentiment building up with LMG for some time now that has culminated in this recent dispute. Anyone have a brief catch-up of events?

Sure, for a server as large and accessible as LW, Discord is a super useful, accessible platform. However, the Discord server should not be the only place that such an update is posted.

Realistically, you can't expect much of the LW userbase to see and engage with an announcement in a Discord server, compared to a post on lemmyworld@lemmy.world.

Made the switch from lemmy.world the other day due to this. Not necessarily because of who they defederated/blocked, but because this happens with little/no consultation or communication with the user base. The frequency of it became frustrating; who knows what other community/instance will be blocked on a whim next?

I appreciate that the LW admins do this as a hobby in their free time, but things like this could be approached in a better way, or at the very least with better communication. I found out about this via a post in /c/mildlyinfuriating, which in itself was mildly infuriating lol.

Migrated to this instance, and I can choose via Connect which instances or communities I want to see. Should have done this sooner.

Hi there,

I am in the process of migrating instances. I have been trying to add a bio and avatar to my profile, but when I press 'Save' at the bottom of my profile settings, I don't see any changes on my profile page.

I have tried this on both instances' profiles, and on desktop and mobile. I don't know if this is an error or perhaps I'm overlooking a necessary step.

Has anybody else encountered this? Any help would be appreciated.

Edit (SOLVED): Changes seemed to push through when I removed the link to my old profile from my bio. Either profiles don't support links, or I hit a character limit. Still not quite sure.
