Hab ich eben auf Reddit gesehen, ich wollte bloß sagen dass ich es cool finde, dass das auch hier aufgeschlagen ist!

Für viele Subs gibt es leider noch keinen föderativen Ersatz.

Also check your RAM for errors maybe.

That can happen in any monolithic kernel OS. So basically you have two choices: a) Microkernel OS like Redox (still alpha) b) Hypervisor OS like Qubes.

Depends on what your threat model is. Sure a fully locked down mobile OS is more secure, but I also care about freedom and privacy. It's not all black and white.

Oh but that's still better than I expected.

In addition to that, in most European countries you have to register with your ID in oder to get a mobile phone number. So its provably end-to-end related to your identity.

I prefer apps that require no phone number. Like Threema, SimpleX, Session, Status, XMPP, or Tox.

SimpleX is good tho.

How does signal match your contacts based on their phone number then?

Hashing doesn't really do anything because there are too few possible phone numbers. Easy to bruteforce. See the researchers who enumerated the WhatsApp users database recently via the internet...

I have had this idea in my mind of building a privacy-first, open source dating app built on "privacy by design" principles. Still didn't get to it tho.
