fun fact: praying mantises actually don't bite their partner's head of most of the time.

I don't know much about it but Jains in India actually have rules about causing minimal harm to all living things

In that moral framework ig fruits and veggies would be fine since the plant wants us to eat it

Also switched a few days ago and I can't really tell the difference tbh

Kinda unrelated but I remember as a kid when out school lied to students about there being cameras in the restrooms so kids would stop throwing tp around. good times

There are groups that are doing just that, tho not all vegans are organized ofc.

The difference is that this time industrial giants with infinite revenue are the ones invested, so it's gonna keep going till the earth is burned to the ground ig

I honestly was being a bit of an ass for no reason, I do apologise. I'm a vegan myself, but only converted a few months ago. I'm just now depressed when I see how negatively people comment on anything vegan online, and spread misinfo frequently. Also I should've said "vegan-ism defenders"

as they should

with the recent windows news, I wanna switch to Linux. I tried mint a few years ago and was annoyed and frustrated with multiple things, like having to input the password all the time and the general ammunt of constant trouble shooting and needing a tutorial for the most basic things.

I want a distro that:

  1. Is very user friendly, ideally not requiring a terminal
  2. Is hard to accidentally fuck up
  3. ideally doesn't require a password for every input

I basically just use my laptop to browse the web, draw in krita and use ms office apps (have been getting used to open office lately)

What do y'all suggest?

Switched about a month ago, bought vitamin supplement and feeling great, was planning on going vegan for a long time. Thought it's made me feel depressed about the state of the world and guilty bout not doing it earlier because it's been so easy. I knew about the horrible way humans treat animals but before I guess I had some cognitive dissonance switch and now that it's gone I'm just feeling sad and powerless.
