My 15 denier hold ups have a hole I want to stitch (15 denier is considered very thin). All I have at home is your regular 100% cotton yarn, no idea what denier.

Hole is on a toe, so nobody would see it if I don't wear sandals. Am I going to ruin them?

My white hold ups are a bit brown on the toes.

Do I need to do something other than submerge in tepid water with unscented soap, rub them and let them soak for 10 minutes before laying them flat to dry?

would you ever wash em in the washing machine?

the toy I want to buy sells now for 30 EUR. Original price was 120 EUR, which is a huge discount.

If this toy is as great as advertised, why are they selling it at a so steep discount? Something's not right.

Could I be buying a used toy?

This model doesn't have any reviews afaik.

both the Lovense Edge 2 you use and an egg I'm thinking about buying have a non detachable battery built in, meaning when the battery dies you'll have to buy a new toy or either open it to change the battery, which I'm assuming would be a hassle.

You say you've been using this toy for 2 years now. Any problems with the battery so far?

What practices do you follow to maximize battery life?

planned obsolescence even here...

we’ve found through research that regular usage and charging practices as well as proper storage can lead to 5-8 year battery reliability.

so what practices do I need to follow?

In one particular case, my ~55kg tester hung one of the sturdier models from a pull up bar and picked herself up with it.

and it didn't break I'm assuming (surprising if true). Did it work afterwards?

if this corded model is completely coated in silicone with only superficial seams and is waterproof, my next question is about batteries:

I own an older vibrator powered by 4 AAA retrievable batteries, which is very convenient, because if the batteries stop charging after 3 years of use, all I need to do is change the batteries for the device to work again.

This corded vibrator seems to have a built in battery I cannot change when it dies (and it will die, like any other battery, even li-ion ones).

If I cannot easily change the battery inside this toy, suddenly it doesn't seem a good choice, but this would also apply to the c-shaped models we mentioned earlier and most vibrators made nowadays.

Buying a toy I'll have to replace after 3 years is a losing proposition.

Your take?

more questions about the corded, double egg vibrator and c-shaped vibrators like this one

I've only seen online pictures, but it seems the c shaped toys are completely enclosed in a silicone coating, with no fissures whereas the corded one has visible lines where the different parts assembly as in the picture attached, next to the bullets.

Isn't that dangerous and unhygienic? The c-shaped toy seems a more hygienic alternative.

Intended use is vaginal and anal. This toy doesn't have a base but it's long, so I can simply pull the cord, or will it break?

The Edge 2, and I presume their other vibrators, have a proprietary charging connection. It’s essentially just two metal contacts and a cable with a relatively weak magnet attached

I see it, 2 unprotected metal contacts. No corrosion so far? No charging problems due to defective contact?

The nice thing about silicone dildos is that you can basically just boil them for a deep clean, but I’d this for electronic ones, waterproof or not.

I don't know if you're telling me to boil silicone toys with electronics and motors inside of them or not to boil them.

hi, I've got more questions:

Some of the brands I checked sell g-spot vibrators and p-spot vibrators as well. Is the silicone used in anal toys different than the one used for vaginal toys? I was thinking about what others said about disinfecting anal toys thoroughly.

What do you think about this toy? Because it’s long and flexible I can insert it as deep as I want but it’s not rigid so it may not press against my g spot like the c shaped egg vibrators we mentioned. This particular model has a 1.5mm mono audio jack but no raised silicone nipple to charge.

all of the eggs I linked have a tail. Do you know how flexible is this part? Can it be bent 180 degrees?

Online I found this egg for 23 euros. I then visited several sex shops asking for vibrating eggs like that one. On the first one they showed me this one for 130 euros. They insisted is waterproof according to IPX7 and that cheaper models are won't bring me to orgasm.

Is the second model 6 times better than the first one? I never expected a sex toy to be this expensive.

At another sex shop they offered this which can be bought directly from the manufacturer for 50 euros, but in this sex shop was valued at 90 euros, which is an insane markup.

They also had this one for 130 euros in store.

I don’t know if I should only buy ‘brand’ vibrators or simply trust amazon reviews and buy the cheapest one for 23 euros. Other reviews about the most expensive models over 100 euros indicate some customers are unhappy with the product, considering the price. Neither do I know what brands are reputable ones, if any, because I cannot give back a thing like this if I don’t like it.

Every listed toy is made in China so I don’t get the radical markups.

If you use egg vibrators, are there any brands I should look for?

For vaginal and anal use.
