Did not know about moissanite, but that is super cool and I'm going to see if I can find some

Man... Fuck!

Growing up really is like watching everyone/everything you cared for in childhood/adolesence grow old and die in slow motion... 😩

Hello, I am new here.

I am undiagnosed but have been essentially told by my therapist yeah you probably have ADHD, and suggested possibly being on the spectrum too. So I thought maybe this could be a good place to explore this issue I've noticed recently.

I mean stuff like personal appearance? It's fine, nobody will say anything negative and I know that, but thinking about changing my beard style or removing it all together or I'm a little bored with some of my clothing. But thinking about doing something about it, I just know everyone will have to address it and ask the same questions or make the same comments about it and, I don't know, like feel mentally exhausted just thinking about it.

Does anyone else experience this? It feels incredibly silly and annoying.

Ever hear of Institut für Sexualwissenschaft(Institute for the Science of Sexuality)?

The founder had described transgender in the 1880s and performed the first document surgical transition in the 1920s!

It might be more visible and talked about now, but this shit is not new

I have had by kids (5 & under) watch his show and they just couldn't stop watching! It was the crayon episodes, and then they needed to color some pictures. It was pretty amazing! Guy knew so much what he was doing!

I was this guy by the time I turned 18. Fast food will do that too you.

First off, I love the term neurospicy!

Have you checked out a book called Unmasking Autism? If not, it may help you a lot. https://www.amazon.com/Unmasking-Autism-Discovering-Faces-Neurodiversity/dp/B09BBM2WQJ/

I haven't finished it yet but it's been immensely informative.

One thing I learned from this book is that autism, among other things, until recently was not viewed from point of "how is this person feeling or experiencing this?" it gets viewed as how the Autist is different or bothering neurotypicals by not following social norms. And I saw a hint of that idea in the picture.

Masking is exhausting and energy intensive. You're having to consciously recognize you're doing something different, and figure out what is expected and fake it and pay attention to whether you think they know you're faking or not.

I (7+ years closeted to parents) made a comment about California's first hurricane in 80+ years, and she responded with something like,

Maybe it will wash out all the gays and wicked people

🙄😮‍💨

Really?! I didn't even know how to respond to that.

Also, somehow or another I guess it's gotta come out.
