Is the website using the API to fetch it's data? That would be hilarious.

During WAN Show on Friday, Linus called Reddit leadership "big liars". He also noted the recent instability in internet services, while also noting that people still have twitter and Facebook accounts despite recent backlash.

On the current situation, Linus added "Reddit is not unassailable. Guys, we don't actually have to accept this. And I feel like this period has resulted in complacency from these platforms as well where they're just blatantly anti-users to the point where they must just think 'You have no other choice'. Guest what? Linus Tech Tips dot com still exists. If you wanna go to a forum and talk about stuff, you can. Fucking do it!"

Makes sense. My point is, even with deleting the most negative ones, he doesn’t even answer the others.

The AMA is still going on at the moment. Yeah… I honestly expected more pushback from the community. The most upvoted questions are not even answered, but they are softballs anyway, imo. This makes me believe that Reddit will survive (and they know it), and that only a few dedicated enthusiasts like us will leave completely and join other platforms. Fuck u/spez

For me, Apollo is Reddit. Giving this Lemmy thing a try. The community is small but i’m hopeful. Currently using Mlem on iOS. Nothing compared to the Apollo experience, but its a start.

Same. But I wish it was more straightforward. I’m not convinced the average/occasional user will transition to decentralized platforms if it’s a pain to do so.
