No, they aren't. Just the other day I saw idiots on Facebook calling for DOGE to come investigate our (Democrat led) county. They think he's doing great work saving them money.

As I said, idiots.

I struggled getting Zwift (online cycling game) running on Debian, and the issue turned out to be that WINE on Debian is a major version behind.

I did get it working, and everything else works (retro game emulators), but it's like, huh maybe that wasn't the best choice.

Similar for me. Debian works.

And I'm just too busy with other things to bother trying different distros. I want my computer to work with a minimum of fuss.

That said Bazzite does sound interesting and might go on my gaming system. Debian stable isn't the best choice for that. Lol

Oh that's right, I forgot about that first question!

Heh. I converted my CAAD12 to Di2 last year, but then I bought a used Supersix Evo that again has mechanical shifting (albeit with hydraulic disc brakes, not rim brakes like my CAAD12). I miss the electronic shifting, though I will admit that group does work pretty well. But the Di2 is still better, and I miss the buttons in the hood for controlling the computer. I intend to upgrade that bike to Di2, maybe over the winter.

No regrets on my gravel bike, but I also haven't taken it on any tours.

What bag is that?

I was in high school at the time, taking Current Events as a class. Our textbook was Newsweek, then a fairly respectable news source.

It was a good year to take it - the 1992 elections, the Branch Davidians, and probably a few other things. We all wrote down our predictions for how the Branch Davidian situation would end, and we were all wrong. (I do not recall my prediction.)

Stockdale was also Ross Perot's vice president running mate in 1992.

He lost points in the vice presidential debate that year when he flat out stated he wasn't ready to comment on a specific question (I don't remember the topic). Kind of a nice summary of the issues with our elections in one sentence, isn't it?

I started using Slackware in the late 90s - say 1998. I used it for most of my desktop applications pretty much right away.

I don't game much so that wasn't an issue for me.

It was definitely harder to configure. I recompiled so many kernels and told myself the speed boost from getting exactly what I needed and nothing else was impressive. It wasn't.

I dunno. It wasn't as polished as it is now, and was harder to configure, but it was still very good, and once you got it configured, it kept working, unlike the more popular os of the day.

I love how much Velo Orange is getting mentioned in these comments. I built a gravel bike out of a Velo Orange Pass Hunter frame a little over a year ago.

But I used a Di2 group because that's what I wanted. Blasphemy, I know.

Some towns had a gun check law. This one has a hat check law.

Pfft they are buying low and selling high. Trump tells them his next move. Insider trading to make millions.

Yep.

Take note, the regime does not care that they did something wrong. They. Do. Not. Care.

And their fans continue to cheer them on. This country is fucked.
