Can't I grill food? Or cook it on the range? Why do I have to use my oven to make meals?
WHO'S BEEN SAVING HOLODECK PROGRAMS TO THEIR HOME DIRECTORY AGAIN?
Hey I have some of those!
A friend of mine was in a bike crash during an event (large group ride, not a race), and he firmly believes the helmet saved his life. Even with it, he had a concussion that kept him off the bike for months. (I wasn't there and don't recall any details of the crash, if I heard any.)
That said, nothing is perfect. Another friend of mine slid on some leaves, crashed, and died several days later in the hospital. He always wore a helmet, too.
I always wear mine when riding.
I laughed the first time I heard a MAGAt talking about how bad Biden was at speaking. I seriously thought they were joking, because Trump's word salad is far worse than any stutter Biden ever uttered.
...they were not joking. They seriously believe Trump is some great orator.
Confirmed. It crashed on my tablet as well.
Stop and buy supplies of course! Even most grocery stores carry disposable litter pans, or just a plastic bin, along with food. Even a paper bowl will work for water.
One of our cats had a serious medical issue (we think a tick bit her, but we don't know for sure), and after she recovered, she attacked her own tail one night. Woke up the next morning to find blood all over the house. Poor kitty ended up having part of her tail docked. :(
The turnout will be about 10 people.
This is basically why I didn't participate in the fandom for many years. Tired of hearing how bad this is or whatever. And this goes back to Next Gen, too. I found I enjoyed Star Trek more without everyone else's opinions.
It's a lot like this. (Thanks to The Oatmeal for putting it so well.)
Yeah, I know that it makes perfect sense for them to be on a user's home directory.
I said that because it was a flashback to work, where people were constantly filling the "home" drive with data that should be stored in the work/project directories. Regular emails begging people not to save data to their home directories. But that data should be accessible to others - it's not personal, like most holodeck programs would be.
Last year, they added a some insane amount of space (dozens of terabytes IIRC) to address space limitations...a few months later, they were down to less than a terabyte free. People just do not program efficiently and do not clean up their messes.
