I've also had a great experience with Nobara. I did try Bazzite, but the immutable nature of it stopped me from doing the things I'm used on Linux. However, I've got my partner on Nobara as well, and she's verrry much not techy and still having a great experience.

Wellll... yes, but actually maybe. Nvidia support on Linux is there, but it's essentially black box drivers and therefore hard to address issues around them when they arise, and they do. It's a lot more finicky.

Edit: Plus, Nvidia drops Linux support for older video cards that still work (like the 10 series), so the distros effectively need to drop support as well.
