Apple keeps the encryption keys and they can access all of your messages, if they feel like it. signal is encrypted by default and just saves when you created and when you last logged in to your account.

I get your point, but that is only 50% of the article. 800 players simply don't justify the effort of porting everything to Linux and risk more cheaters. Issues with cheaters affect the entire playerbase, not just those 800.

I'd like more Linux compatibility in large games as much as the next guy, but I get the justification not to do it.

on the one hand i agree: trustworthy does not mean privacy. but on the other hand: ai does not necesaarily mean privacy invasion (though experience might tell us otherwise)

As your description is rather short and does not really restrict the "recommendation space", I'll start the round of recommendations with Joplin

As the title says. I want to get my first Bonsai, but I cannot decide which one. What can you recommend for indoor placement? What do I need to keep in mind?

I mean, every CEO would do so, because they have a flawed view of their product. That is what they are paid for: believing in their product. Otherwise they would not do their job properly.

Let's just hope the community remains strong to display what we are capable of together, just like with what happened on r/wallstreetbets.

As the title says. I have stopped reading manga after wano because I didn't want to wait an entire week for cliffhangers to continue. Now I wanted to ask if bnow is a good time with kind of a clean break to catch up.

It points to the lemmy instance the post has been published on. It is useful if you want to share a generic link to a post with someone and maybe don't want to share the information on what instance you created your account on, because the other permalink button always references to the instance of your account.

I know it is familiar, and due to the heavy discussion in the recent days, it is especially hard to circumvent, but please take a look at the links you click on to prevent giving traffic to Reddit as much as possible. Just a small reminder!

I was wondering since about Marineford... what will actually happen once Luffy meets Shanks, has to give him the hat back. Will he just continue to call his crew the strawhat pirates? That would not make any sense then.... What do you think he would call the crew?

Deutsch ist super schwer zu lernen und ein wichtiger Schritt ist, sich zu trauen, Deutsch zu reden/schreiben, also bist du auf einem guten Weg! Weiter so!

Couldn't find any community so I thought I'd create one right away. On Reddit there was someone who posted artwork regularly, I hope he/she will join here, too! This might be a community that takes off quite fast considering the current events!

I just hope that it will be more distributed than Matrix and not everyone registers on lemmy.ml (matrix.org in case of matrix) so the decentralization works for real here instead of 90% (exaggerating, don't know the numbers) of the user base sitting on one instance :)

I just wanted to say that I am impressed with the mentality here. Everyone seems so engaged (at least at first now) that Lemmy feels alive although we are relatively few people, still. That reminds me somewhat of the early stages of the internet, when everything was still new and you felt special for being part of something big blowing up. Keep it up and try not to create redundant communities on every instance!
