I don't think anyone means to disparage the very real concerns facing USians, and I think non-USians recognize this affects every one of us regardless of country (I recently made a comment regarding this exactly).

I think that commenter was just using humour because it's quite overwhelming that within a week-- Trump's been shot at and Biden is stepping aside.

If us outsiders are feeling this, then I imagine it is so much worse for USians. I am empathetic to how stressful this must be, and hope for a candidate who annhilates Trump and leads your country towards healing.

As someone outside of the US, I would say that the fallout to other countries is substantial. Not due to policies, but rather rhetoric.

Where I live, neo-nazis used to hide-- but now all the bigots, emboldened by Trump, are organizing. The right-wing opposition party leader walks among them and isn't immediately shunned/removed. This is echoed around the globe.

The brain doesn't just sleep for the sake of the body, but the brain too.

Dreams are useful for problem solving issues in our personal lives, emotional regulation, and memory. You start messing with natural dreams and you will end up with a population stricken with mental health issues.
