EDMONTON, AB (December 27, 2025) – Taylor Heise’s first goal of the season was the overtime winner to lead the Minnesota Frost to a 2-1 victory over the Vancouver Goldeneyes on Saturday afternoon before a crowd of 10,264 at Rogers Place in the DoorDash PWHL Takeover Tour™ presented by Explore Edmonton. Heise circled the offensive zone before firing a laser over the glove of Emerance Maschmeyer at 2:57 of the extra frame to give the two-time defending champion Frost their first-ever win over the expansion Goldeneyes. Both regulation goals were scored in the first period, beginning with Frost rookie Abby Hustler’s first career goal on an early power play at 1:18. The Goldeneyes responded quickly with Izzy Daniel’s first of the season at 3:14. Across two scoreless periods, Maddie Rooney stood tall in the Frost crease, turning aside 27 shots for her first win of the season in three starts. Maschmeyer, who hails from nearby Bruderheim, AB, stopped a season-high 33 shots in her homecoming. Both teams will play once more before the New Year with Minnesota visiting Toronto on Dec. 30 and Vancouver traveling to New York for a Dec. 31 matchup. This was the first of two Takeover Tour games to be played at Rogers Place this season with Vancouver returning to host the Boston Fleet on Apr. 7, 2026.

SEATTLE, WA (December 23, 2025) – The first-ever meeting between the Montréal Victoire and Seattle Torrent did not disappoint, with a narrow 2-1 win for the Torrent to end the Victoire’s four-game win streak and send the home team into the holiday break with a 3-2 homestand record. Rookie Hannah Murphy stood tall, recording her third win in as many starts to launch her pro career, withstanding a barrage of 38 Victoire shots, including 30 between the second and third periods. After 18:37 of play in the first period, Abby Roque opened scoring for the visitors, but the lead did not last with Seattle’s Alex Carpenter notching her fourth goal of the season at 3:32 into the second. Julia Gosling’s game-winning goal came 3:23 into the third, but the Victoire pressured until the final buzzer, including a six-on-four stretch with a power play and extra attacker in the final 2:30 in search of the equalizer. Ann-Renée Desbiens made 21 saves in the loss.

Seattle moves into the top half of the league standings heading into the holiday break tied for 4th with Minnesota. The Torrent head south to Dallas with a winning record for the first-ever PWHL Takeover Tour in Texas on Dec. 28. Meanwhile, Montréal has earned some well-deserved time at home after a three-game road trip that took them to both sides of the country; they next face Toronto on Dec. 27 at the Bell Centre.

SEATTLE, WA (December 17, 2025) – The Seattle Torrent have won two straight games on home ice, tallying a season-high four goals on route to a 4-1 victory over the Ottawa Charge on Wednesday night at Climate Pledge Arena. In front of 9,389 fans, Seattle carried the momentum from their late third-period comeback win over the New York Sirens before the international break, led by the forward line of Alex Carpenter, Julia Gosling and Hilary Knight who combined for three goals and seven points. Gosling opened scoring on a Torrent power play with just three seconds remaining in the first period. Carpenter broke the game open in the second period with a pair of goals, coming 6:25 (PP) and 11:29 into the frame. Hannah Bilka was involved in three of the game’s four goals, recording a primary assist on Gosling’s goal and assisting on Carpenter’s first goal, before an empty net goal of her own at 18:30 of the third period. Ottawa’s Rebecca Leslie refused to let the Charge go away quietly, stealing the shutout from Hannah Murphy with her late third period goal at 19:21. Murphy turned away 24/25 shots to record her second win in two starts, the first rookie in PWHL history to accomplish the feat. She combined with the Charge’s Sanni Ahola – making her PWHL debut – to form the season’s first all-rookie goaltending duel. Ahola became the first Finnish goaltender to appear in a PWHL game, recording 20/23 saves.

On Sunday, the Charge lace up in Chicago to face Minnesota in the second stop on the PWHL Takeover Tour™, while the Torrent host Boston Sunday and Montréal Tuesday in the final matchups of a five-game homestand before their first-ever Takeover Tour appearance in Dallas (Dec. 28).

NEWARK, NJ (December 17, 2025) – The Boston Fleet overtook the New York Sirens 2-0 on Wednesday night at Prudential Center to record their fifth-straight win, the most consecutive victories in team history. Aerin Frankel posted her third shutout of the season in her fifth start, turning away a season-high 33 shots. Ella Huber scored her first professional goal and the game-winner, 5:27 into the first period on the power play, assisted by fellow rookie Haley Winn. Liz Schepers doubled the Fleet’s lead 9:46 into the second period with her first goal since scoring Minnesota’s overtime winner to take home the 2025 Walter Cup. Kayle Osborne stopped 19 of 21 shots faced in the Sirens crease. This was the first of four meetings between the two nearby U.S. teams this season, with their next matchup coming in Boston on Jan. 28 at the Tsongas Center. The Fleet depart on a four-game road trip while the Sirens host one more matchup at home before flying south to Dallas for their first PWHL Takeover Tour™ game of the season.

BOSTON, MA (December 7, 2025) – The Boston Fleet became the first team in PWHL history to win their first four games of the season, defeating the Minnesota Frost 4-1 on Sunday afternoon before a crowd of 5,338 at Agganis Arena. The Fleet enter the international break atop the PWHL standings with 12 points, while the Frost remain tied for second place with six points after having their road winning streak halted at two. Boston’s four goals were a season-high and featured two in quick succession late in the first period and a perfect two-for-two power play. Shay Maloney opened the scoring at 17:03, then captain Megan Keller doubled the lead at 18:17. Klára Hymlárová brought the Frost to within one with her goal at 3:12 of the second period, but the Fleet responded with their first power play marker just 49 seconds later. It was rookie Abby Newhook who stayed hot with her third goal in as many games at 4:01 of the middle frame, set up by Keller and second overall pick Haley Winn, with both defenders producing multi-point efforts. Theresa Schafzahl scored the Fleet’s second power play tally at 3:01 of the third to cap the offense. Aerin Frankel turned aside a season-high 26 shots for her league leading fourth win of the season. Maddie Rooney also recorded a season-high in saves with 31 but dropped her second straight start. The teams will meet again in Minnesota on Dec. 19 at Grand Casino Arena.

LAVAL, QC (December 7, 2025) – The Montréal Victoire skated to a 3-1 win over the Toronto Sceptres on Sunday afternoon before a crowd of 8,113 at Place Bell in the first of three games this month between the Canadian rivals. Kati Tabin scored Montréal’s first goal in an opening frame this season when the defender found the back of the net at 8:38. Hayley Scamurra added to the Victoire lead at almost the same point of the middle frame, scoring against her former team at 8:36. The Sceptres cut the deficit in half when rookie Emma Gentry sniped her first career goal at 1:36 of the third period. Laura Stacey scored on the power play at 5:41 to cap the offense. Toronto had its opportunities in the final frame with a lengthy 5-on-3 power play when Montréal took three minor penalties in a span of 90 seconds. Ann-Renée Desbiens stood tall between-the-pipes with 21 saves to earn her second straight win in three season starts. Raygan Kirk took the loss in her third start of the season, stopping 27 shots for the Sceptres. The teams will meet again following the international break when they launch the PWHL Takeover Tour on Dec. 17 in Halifax. They’ll return to Montréal’s Bell Centre 10 days later for a holiday tilt on Dec. 27.
