Oh, no. We just find the [] tone tags better than the slash ones like /srs etc. Hopefully nobody has to look up a guide to what they mean with the [] ones, nor has to guess at what they mean. Plus they are presumably more easily translatable.

Tone tags are necessary in textual mediums a lot of the time but we can all make them easier without having to use a guide, list etc.

No. We don't even know what that is.

We did and agree. Though there were some defending us and being hilarious too.

Sure, we're happy to help!

It's a silly made up thing allos made up to judge the attractiveness of people. It pretends to be 'objective' but attractiveness cannot be, everybody finds different things, physical, emotional, psychological etc attractive. 'Objective' attractiveness is also problematic as it both pretends certain things have always been attractive and is usually bigotted in some way against either groups of people or individuals for not looking a certain way. All in all avoid bullshit like this, it's not good for anybody.

How'd you get this picture of us?

[–] oftheair@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yeah, completely. 💔

Yeah, she shouldn't be treated that way! Like people for who they are, all they are, not just one part of them.

They actually did something? 😮

Giving in is never the way to win. Fight them instead.

sigh I'd wish they'd give it a rest. They won't because they're all transphobic, but it would be nice.

Oh, we see. [Genuine] Hilarious.

Yay! Glad there are more of us!

[–] oftheair@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 4 days ago (6 children)

[Genuine] What would that mean?

We see a lot of posts here which are obviously referring to a specific gender or certain wants for transitioning, yet nobody seems to be using the CWs that the rules say should be used.

Why is this exactly? Should we be trying to point this out when people posting here don't? If they aren't ever used why do we have them as rules?

A great video about how fandom really doesn't know how to handle asexual characters in media and likes to sexualise them regardless. There is nothing wrong with this in the sense of exploring identity etc in fan fiction inherently as long as they don't pretend that it's ever going to happen in canon or shout down asexuals who would like some characters that are canonically like them for once.

We created TransSpecies (lemmy.blahaj.zone)
submitted 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) by oftheair@lemmy.blahaj.zone to c/main@lemmy.blahaj.zone

We created TransSpecies for all of you that don't see yoursel{f/ves} as human and would like to or are doing your best to transition to something that isn't that whether that's internally, socially, with technology or surgery (though it should be noted we don't gatekeep, exploring your identity is a-okay with us and there's no one way to be TransSpecies).

We will not be answering any questions or putting up with any remarks about us not existing or being mentally ill etc, such comments will just be reported and you will be banned from that community.

For all the rest of you, hope to see you there!

Introduce yoursel{f/ves} (lemmy.blahaj.zone)
submitted 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) by oftheair@lemmy.blahaj.zone to c/transspecies@lemmy.blahaj.zone

Hi all!

Introduce yoursel{f/ves} here.

I am a faerie most of the time, a member of the fae so my form sometimes changes.

Since we are plural the others may introduce themselves if they wish to.
