Yeah, French Polynesia would normally span about the distance between Barcelona and Helsinki, approx 2,500km.
I'm still not 100% sure if I like the art style. I do think it looks cute and it is very polished (in more ways than one). I would've liked to see something perhaps a little bit closer to the photographs taken throughout the game. Other than the visuals, there was just a lot of expression in Link's face in those photographs, and the style we got makes the characters feel a little bit rigid.
That said, the game will always be quite special to me, so no matter what the graphics, just visiting Koholint island is such a good vibe. A fun and concise game, no more and no less than is necessary to make for a memorable adventure and a perfect setting.
I hope we get new 2D adventures that share this kind of spirit of Zelda that the 3D games are just too big to capture.
We're all worried about the impending digital apocalypse.
It's pretty rubbish in many other countries as well. Consistent in that regard, too!
Ah, apologies! I'm still not yet in the habit of checking post dates on Lemmy! But wow, it feels like it's been more than 10 days since all that happened!
Of the ones that have been announced so far, which app in development are you most excited for?
I think I have too many subreddits that I'm subscribed to for this to work! Won't let me create a multiteddit, might have to manually create a few and do it bit by bit. Supposedly I'm subscribed to 613 subreddits and it will only ever pull 250 at a given time... This is probably a good opportunity to start fresh and only subscribe to the important stuff (although many probably won't have communities here yet anyway).
Does anyone know if Lemmy also has a limit on how many community subscriptions it can present?
Pandan ice cream!
What is the major difference between something like Lemmy vs Kbin, etc., compared to just two different Lemmy "planets"?
Also, how do other platforms in the fediverse fit into this analogy? Something like Mastodon, would that be considered another galaxy? Is there any travel between these or do they require the birth of a new fedinaut within that galaxy to interact with those worlds?
One glitch I came upon was in gen 2 when I had tried to clone one of my pokémon. I ended up creating a chimaera between my Arcanine and my Golduck. Sometimes it would appear as a water type Arcanine with Golduck's moves, and sometimes as a fire type Golduck with Arcanine's moves. So I suppose in a way, back in the day I had accidentally created the mythical water type Arcanine that everybody now seems to want as a regional form! I've had a water type Arcanine before regional forms were cool!
