Then I'm gonna invent "unleavened cucumber" and use Lavash instead

I've never seen the bread thing before, I wonder how it changes the pickle taste. Might have to give it a shot, fr!

I think at this point, any low-effort food meme goes. After all, what we eat always turns to shit...

At this point, it's not habitual, it's an addiction

Grape. Damn. Popsicle.

I don't drink alcohol at all, but horchata is one of my all-time favorites... if the taste is more horchata than rum, I might become an alcoholic

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I needed something to get through the dystopia

Don't feel down about the state of the world, get angry...

Don't let these fckers grind you down
Don't let these bastards kill your soul
Bottom feeders in the worst way
A bunch of fcking turncoats
You gave them more than they ever gave back
And now everyone knows

Don't let these fckers grind you down
Don't let these leeches suck you dry
You've got the heart of a lion
You've got the strength to survive
Time is their punishment
They'll eat each other alive

Don't let them grind you down
Don't let them grind you down
Don't let them grind you down
No!

Choke on all their lies
Wasted all their lives
Lowest of the low
Cowards so beneath you now

You've got the heart of a lion

  1. If you're in the USA, maybe look into something like GlassesUSA or ZenniOptical. You can save a shit ton on prescriptions and get multiple pairs for that amount, even with a crazy prescription. There might be other sites outside the USA, but I don't know what they are off-hand.
  2. AI facial recognition doesn't need to do anything special to get around people wearing dark sunglasses now, especially when the cameras are situated at a higher angle than your face and can see around the lenses. The glasses alone will not stop facial recognition.

I'm not questioning the use of them medically, I'm questioning the idea that these do anything for AI.

They still cause depth-perception problems, regardless. Even you commented yourself you wouldn't wear them while driving.

You're not out of the loop, there's nothing that suggests these do anything.

My best guess is because they are opaque lenses with tiny holes, so no photo filter or IR light will be able to "map" your eye region or anything behind the glasses. If that is indeed the answer, then these are not sufficient enough to actually do anything of value if not coupled with other face coverings. They will only serve to fuck up your vision and depth-perception (unless you have myopia, apparently)

[–] phaedrus@piefed.world 2 points 6 hours ago (3 children)

That doesn't answer the question though. Where are the details and how does it do it "fairly effectively?"

All I can find about them is info on myopia, and even for that they don't fully work.

[–] phaedrus@piefed.world 2 points 6 hours ago

You have to really look into this one. Now that I've slept and looked at it more, there are a lot of other things I can see that solidify this as gen AI. It took me a bit to get there, though, and I only had a vague thought that it even was at first.

Now couple this with Flock's rushed out nightmare and the idea of arresting people for pre-crimes Minority Report-style and the dystopian future is now the present.

But yeah, I think we’re getting past the point where I can tell.

I think people like you and I will still have that sense going off, but it's going to be harder to put into words why we feel that way, and will start to leak into our ideas on real photos. Regular folks already voted how they voted (and I'm not just talking about the USA), they will not ever take the time to analyze a photo like this, just like they never take the time to corroborate what the talking heads say with real data.

They won't, ever. Not the general public, at least. Most are still perfectly content and onboard with paying for 10 different streaming services for music/movies/TV. Only immediate numbers mean anything, and $5/mo is better than $10 once, simply because 10 is larger than 5. Plus, look at all this extra shit I didn't want that is included!

Since we're re-taking the shit, I figured we should have a more efficient way to communicate. However, my brain is as smooth as a fresh burrito excretion and I gave up after 5 minutes. Maybe you all wouldn't mind dumping some more ideas?

edit: finalized some. Trying to keep most of them at 1 word to match the NATO version, with the exception of W intentionally left absurdly long to defeat the whole purpose of the alphabet.

edit2: had to make an update to commemorate the holy days of cornposting

I did the pencil lines ~6 years ago while I was sitting in a tent in the middle of a rainforest, and a friend I was traveling with for a bit a year later asked if he could do a color version.

Never really thought about sharing it until I came across this community. I typically don't draw, and I haven't since. Depression keeps ideas from reaching my finger tips most of the time, but I guess those barriers were destroyed for a short amount of time. I've considered getting it tattooed, but I don't have any money for that.

Also yes, those are the ATLA element symbols below the vines...
