Once upon a time, reddit was an open-source platform. Never again it has the same face when it decided to close the sources, then the UI changes, then the ads, then the API charges. All of those are for the profits of them, not of users'.

His following video explains pretty well on why a trade war might happen between the Western power and China due to the pressure from the local automobile industries' lobbying. Although ultimately the sources have liberal biases, their anxiety over the loss of domination over car industry is real. This should be a good bookmark for everyone that want to learn about how imperialism look like and work complement with Lenin's work on Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism.

another reminder to everyone else that invidious exists

Thanks for the reminder, not going to rate the app on the store since I value my time more than revisiting it. Protest them at the app store is not going to work, those business men wouldn't listen a word from their users as depicted in the recent events. As long as they could answer the call from the shareholder, we as the users will always be the second citizen among the ranks.

Exactly. Misinformation is not generated from those tech companies itself. It is coming from the news created by the mass media giant and the underlying users. This only serves as a proxy war between the traditional media and big tech corporate.
