at the current price of gasoline in the Netherlands (about 7,50 per gallon) it's just a inefficient truck.

Skyrim, Morrowind, Runescape (Rs3) and minecraft seems to all pop up for at least one week a year since their release.

they're not yet forced (law didn't get into effect yet, end of 2024) and the EU has also set strict guidelines in the law that prevent apple from making their own standard much better than normal usb PD (the requirement is that if the device could charge with at least 18W, it must be possible to use a 'standard' USB PD charger at 18W). While it is a start, it's probably still gonna be a pain.

Personally as a uswe I think running ads is not a bad idea, just if I would pay already (through donations for example), I prefer to have the option to show no ads.

I can imagine the current server owners either be decently supported by donations and/or see hosting a lemmy server currently more as a hobby.

on your profile settings on the web is a checkbox to mark it as a bot account.

If you're planning on using plain Debian and the challenges that come with it, you probably should start with one of the pre-built images from the Debian foundation. You can mount the root partition with either a running linux box or WSL2. Then you can chroot into it to setup the wpa_supplicant.conf in the /etc/ folder and ensble sshd.

In case of Raspbian, you can create a wpa_supplicant.conf in the boot partition with:

network={
    ssid="testing"
    psk="testingPassword"
}

and a empty ssh file.

For the user config, since bullseye you need to make an account on first boot, that can be done with a userconf file, but it's a bit more involved. You can see how to do it at the end of This blog post

Depends on the type of phone, usually it's just finding out. You can also share it over Bluetooth within desktop mode, unsure about game mode.

And then you have the Dutch, 5'6" (169cm)

As a Dutchie, I can only agree. I do have to say the road infrastructure in a lot of countries will have to change too to make this feasible... I have been to Edinburgh, Scotland last week and it feels completely suicidal to ride a bike there, barely any bike lanes and a very big dislike towards cyclists.

If anyone wants to know more about how we do roads in the Netherlands, I totally recommend Not Just Bikes

I do question how this statement of carbon emissions reduction holds up with the large change towards electric bikes, but electric scales better to green energy then cars I guess.
