Maybe not exactly your cup of tea, but Elsbeth is very similar in structure to Colombo (which I loved)

Yggdrasil in 1993. Why? Because it was the easiest to install at the time, and came with one of my books in college.
A combination of Sickchill, Jackett, Deluge and Plex with one custom script run by Deluge does exactly this for me, on a VPN connection. I search in Jackett, click the upload to blackhole button, Deluge automatically downloads it, then calls a script for Sickchill to rename, categorize and move to my videos folder, and the same script calls a Plex API to rescan the library.
Yeah, anything with DewClaw was great, the tool breakdowns are usually good, but he's lost the plot a bit lately.
I'm halfway through book two and I was thinking the same thing.
