I don't follow you, sorry? 😁

Wow, great shot, especially shooting through glass (unless you were in the water with it, I guess!)

Agreed with all that. Depending on how much manipulation was deemed acceptable, I'd also be tempted to paint out the bridge and boats on the right, to suggest that beyond the house lies the open ocean. That's cheating of course, but it'd look cool I think.

Very rough version done on my phone:

Yeah, an absolute cracker. I'm currently digitising my entire record collection (vinyl) and sticking it on Plex and I'm discovering so many tunes if forgotten about!

Stage manager? I'm not one myself, but I used to work in a theatre, and those people earn their money for sure. It's an amazing talent to keep everything running so smoothly, and it rarely gets the credit it deserves.

Ghostbusters.

Disagree, I think 2001 is perfect. Yes it's slow, but that's intentional, it's part of the feeling of the film.

Modern standards don't really apply, because I don't think anyone nowadays is trying to do what Kubrick was, nor (obviously) was he trying to live up to any standards of future movie making.

Each to their own of course, but wanted to put a friendly counterpoint :-)

Absolute banger.

See also the Paul van Dyk mix of Binary Finary.

No worries! 😁

I've nothing I especially want to add to this at the moment, but if anyone has a project they want sporadic help with, let me know :-)

[-] sanguinepar@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

True - I only pointed to York as OP asked for 2000s trance :-)

I think you're thinking of On the Beach by York

TLDR - Blue cards will be for dissent and cynical fouls. Two blues means red. Blue plus yellow also equals red.

Weird.

Carl Weathers RIP (www.bbc.co.uk)

Very sad news that AD regular (and of course, director of Scandalmakers), Carl Weathers, has left us. Hopefully he's already got a stew going up in heaven.

😬 😲 😢

Great news for Liverpool and for Scotland! Fingers crossed he comes through the rest of the season unscathed and leads us to glory in Germany!

Wow, VAR screwing up, who'd have thought?

9

As someone who was against VAR from the start, I'm pleased to see someone as high profile as Lineker come out and admit he was wrong about it and has changed his mind. Fingers crossed this continues and we can start to move towards getting rid of it.

What a game!! Absolute insanity and some unbelievable goals.

Really enjoying Radio Lemmy, have had it on almost constantly :-)

After using the site a few times, I noted a few things that might be worth looking at - not meant as criticism, just some ideas.

Suggestions:

  • Freeze pagination tools of auto DJ library - would make it easier to navigate on mobile when scrolling down the song list. At the moment, when you scroll, you can't see the controls

  • Make the song request message popups (green for accept/red for reject) always appear onscreen as overlays instead of at a fixed point on the page - at present they're not visible when user is scrolled down, especially on mobile

  • Is there a way to filter the library by genre/artist? I can't seem to find it, apologies if I'm being dense.

  • It would be cool to be able to sort the library by date added - so we could see what new songs have been uploaded

Bugs:

  • When sending a song suggestion it refreshes the page, stopping the music stream. Any way to prevent that?
  • I noticed that some songs have duplicate info - eg Pulp - Disco 2000, Stromae - Alors On Danse, and possibly more

I love football sometimes. Get it up you Bayern :-)

Liverpool v Everton (lemmy.world)

No match thread, so made this for discussion

I really don't like the file picker now - when sharing images or anything else, it shows inconsistent and incomplete lists of folders, and although I can then choose to go to Browse and pick that way, I'd rather just have that by default. Anyone know if it's possible?
