The idea was obviously that the citizens would have the same gear as the government. Many soldiers even bought and brought civilian rifles when the government’s rifles were getting outdated.
The fact that FBI and the ATF could fuck people up doesn’t mean the people should be disarmed, rather it says those agencies should be dissolved IMO…
In my experience, a suppressor does help a little bit with the recoil, but a muzzle brake helps so much more.

This incident in France proved that strict regulations only affect law abiding citizens. Having one “side” disarmed might prevent escalation but it also strips them - but not the others - of the possibility to exercise their right to defend themselves.

Det är inget nyliberalt med mer övervakning och kontroll. Nattväktarstat är inte samma sak som en auktoritär polisstat. Vi rör oss helt klart i riktning mot en auktoritär polisstat, men det är alltså inget nyliberalt eller nattväktarstatligt med det och tyvärr vill ”båda sidor” av riksdagen ha preventiva avlyssningar utan brottsmisstanke och liknande oskick.
