We probably disagree on a lot of things, but attacking Wikipedias non-profit status because of bias is just wrong. I was a treasurer on an aviation related charity that had a bias towards certain information and political positions that benefited aviation, should I have had our 501c3 status revoked?

Wikipedia has a pretty strong left leaning slant, but more power to them. I choose to just not consult them on political or historical topics, and honestly I would much rather have Wikipedia around than the slop that is ChatGPT or Gemini

But Seattle doesn’t do cocaine Remember Microsoft is on the east side

Okay…. Cocaine probably played a large part

Best cocaine in Puget Sound comes from Bellevue, prove me wrong

A professor once told me “don’t trust ‘free software’ from a megacorp”, most important thing I learned in college.

Did Harlan Ellison sue this movie, too? Jokes aside, Mr. Ellison is a prime example of how you can be super creative and provide so much joy to the world while also being a major asset hole.

Edit: leaving my typo because it kind of enhances the joke.

Without going into detail I know there are a lot of things that are illegal to patent for more or less bureaucratic reasons, like paraphernalia, but you can get around it by saying that it’s for tobacco. Also, the military branches have representatives that work in the patent office, so if you find a unique way to kill people you are about to either become very rich, or very arrested.

But I want to be angry at you about something that is out of both of our control. Let me have my moment!

Hasn’t it? Markets up 12%

Tariffs are not a new concept and have been used historically to build economies. Top China analysts in the Obama administration credited its economic rise to protective tariffs and high barriers to entry for any foreign companies to sell in country.

I’m probably a bit older than most lemmy users and remember when tariffs were a major talking point for democrats as a positive thing to protect American jobs. Hell, growing up in the Midwest, all my dad and his buddies that worked union jobs had to vote democrat because of their aggressive tariff policy to protect their jobs.

So what if trump is right about tariffs and it reinvigorates the American economy? Will people find another reason to credit the success to? Will it be the end of blue collar voting for the democrats?

Edit: Markets are rebounding hard, I bought low, glad Lemmy is full of pseudo intellectual economic morons. How is Lemmy going to cope now?

I have been on TRT roughly 2 years and do 140mg/week of test cyp. Overall it has been life changing. I originally suspected something was off about 4 years ago and fought with my primary care doctors about getting tested for low t. My results came back at 150ng/dl with the “normal range” being 240-750ng/dl. After the results my doctor tried to put me on anti depressants. I told them to screw off and called a clinic the next day.
