I think many of you may have seen this very unpleasant ‘person’ that kept spamming some hateful content in multiple communities.

The account has been purged along with all posts. Well keep a close eye!

Sorry about that, this place should be a friendly platform for anyone

Meow, meow,

Few days ago I started working on a simple Wiki where I want to 'collect' all documentation on setting up Fediverse services and everything around it in one place.

Still adding new stuff on a daily basis. Hopefully it will be helpful to someone

To keep up with Elon Musk’s Starlink and the U.S., China plans to launch thousands of broadband satellites into low-Earth orbit. Of the roughly 8,000 functioning satellites in orbit, about 55% belong to SpaceX’s Starlink. China is making strides as more satellite companies like SatNet are getting more funding and making advancements.

WSJ explores how broadband satellites work and whether China can secure its spot in a crowded stretch of space.

Ralph Langner provides the most detailed presentation of the Stuxnet S7 code. He goes through the key Function Codes and Data Blocks in detail and shows how it matches to the Natanz facility. You see Ralph's teams comments throughout the Stuxnet code, and the level of detailed analysis.

This performance from S4x12 is a great example of the technical detail we look for in a Stage 2: Technical Deep Dive Session. The beauty of Ralph's presentation

Occupy The Web (OTW) explains how hacks shown in the Mr Robot TV Series actually work (and if they are actually realistic). He compares real world WiFi, Bluetooth and Scada hacking vs what is shown in the TV series.

In this video we discuss the hacks in Mr Robot Season 1 Episode 6. Which other episodes or technologies do you want us to cover in future videos? Please comment.

Few years ago I had Feddit.social as one of the first tihi! I closed at the time because of the trouble with the build-in filters that now have been removed and optional

[-] stux@geddit.social 9 points 1 year ago

Haha.. this is kinda dumb and sparks joy 🥲

[-] stux@geddit.social 14 points 1 year ago

Ah.. that’s wrong. It’s a different story when the admins/staff are actively supporting this but I don’t believe that’s the case

[-] stux@geddit.social 24 points 1 year ago

Instances could also remove, ban & purge that remote community to be done with it 👌🏻

[-] stux@geddit.social 9 points 1 year ago

Well, with that you are also NOT welcome on Geddit.

[-] stux@geddit.social 19 points 1 year ago

We blocked and removed that 'community' indeed..

Here you can find more info: https://fedidb.org/software/lemmy

The amounts of new accounts compared to the monthly active or even posts doesn't match one bit and has only one explaination

[-] stux@geddit.social 10 points 1 year ago

Yes, this is a big issue currently going on..

Enabeling captcha should fix the issue. Email alone not since they will abuse the email service

[-] stux@geddit.social 14 points 1 year ago

I can reply from our Lemmy instance :-) I think it depends on how you post certain things. But mostly it's public I guess

Mastodon and other Fediverse software have more options if it comes to privacy
