The user can also block your tracking scripts. Besides, the user can share the link with friends, and you won't be able to track them this way. I'm sure there are many other reasons why having a middleware is de-facto the industry standard.

I don't know. I'm happy that some very talented and knowledgeable people create content that makes my life a little better, and that they are able to do that thanks to the various forms of monetization.

I appreciate the effort, but as far as I can see there is only one service that aims to be a YouTube alternative: PeerTube. Everything else specializes in a specific topic and/or doesn't allow user created content.

I think that is a good thing. There are many reasons to dislike Nintendo, but they had no pressure to do this due to the lack of competition on their platform from other stores and manufacturers. 14 days is more than enough to finish most games or at least give them a try before buying.

No, because I don't have an irrational fear of AI. I don't like when poor or unfitting AI art is used, but it isn't AI who makes that decision to use it.
