After some basic searching, I didn't come up with anything. You're probably right about the battery, that's a good point. Thanks for commenting ๐Ÿ‘

Yes, I have the built in recorder. That's not really what I'm asking for though. What I want is essentially something that functions like a screenshot utility, but for video footage.

It would be like how it is on Playstation or something. (Recording is always live in the background, then when you hit the save button the previous 10 minutes or so of footage is saved)

Hi, I'd like some recommendations for recording gameplay clips on my Ayn Odin 2 max.

I'm really only looking for something that saves a cache of about 5~10 minutes worth of recording in the background, that allows me to save it to a default location if I choose to save it. Is there something like this for android?

Those solar recumbents are sweet! Plus, you get a little shade too ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I like the continent arrow, but it definitely needs the aforementioned refinement. It's pretty blobby as it is. Lol

Nine sols was sick, nice to see it featured!

On your ps2 list: Black, prince of persia, and sly cooper are all favorites of mine. POP warrior within is my all-time favorite though, it's a bit grittier and darker with a hard rock soundtrack and lots of blood/gore :)

Great review! This definitely sounds cool, I may have to load this up soon. Thanks for sharing too ๐Ÿ‘

Why an office chair though, put it in one of these then I'll be impressed.

Refresh those weird ass toggle paddles on the back too. The old design seemed better.

Are you guys familiar with the metroidvanias community on here?

I had to look up what birria was, that looks and sounds delicious!

I've noticed that my secondary monitor usually doesn't turn on initially. In order to get it to turn on, I can do a restart after the initial boot and then it will turn on. Any idea what might be causing this or how to fix it? The monitor is hooked up through the laptop's hdmi port.

Fedora 42

KDE Plasma

Wayland

Nvidia RTX 4070

So, I'm hoping to reduce the substantial screen tearing that I'm encountering while watching videos.

One of the suggestions that I have found is to enable wayland, which did help quite a bit (this is the guide I found). However, I've decided I don't really want to use gnome. Gnome seems great, but I've already become accustomed to using cosmic.

Apparently pop os is in a transitionary phase and will eventually update to wayland as the default, but I'm just wondering if there's other desktop environments I should be considering? I see that Fedora now comes with a KDE cosmic variant, but I don't know if this would be any better or not.

Edit:

I ended up installing kde plasma standard desktop environment (which was listed here). Upon booting into the login screen there's a big on-screen keyboard. Hit enter to bypass it. In the dropdown menu on the top left of the screen, there is an option for 'pop on wayland'

So far, everything seems to be working good. I had to change the steam client to the 'proton hotfix' to get one of my games to play.

Anyone else running into this issue?

Anyone else running into this issue?

Upon going back to the feed page from a post page, the feed tends to load in at a different point (higher up) than where it was before. This results in a lot of repetitive scrolling.

Also, I noticed that (when new content is being loaded in?) the scrolling gets stuck in the same spot. Scrolling kind of just glitches on the same spot until it gets past it and then resumes as normal.

Hey, I noticed that the expand/collapse button tends to block text sometimes. Is there any way that it could be made transparent when hovering the mouse over it? Also, the hover text should say 'collapse' when the text has already been expanded.

These are often found on vacuum cleaner cables and such.

I'd like one to clip onto a two wire (two pronged, no ground) flat cable like this one:

Anything like that exist yet?

Does anyone have tips for redirecting YouTube links on mobile android?

I tried Firefox with libredirect addon, but it doesn't want to work for some reason.

I'm having some trouble finding an answer for this. While in the gaming mode, just navigating the regular steam ui, the default behavior of the left trackpad acts as a redundant directional pad. I'd like that trackpad to control the screen navigation behavior instead (swipe up/down to scroll vertically, swipe left/right to scroll horizontally).

Is there an easy way to do this?

I have a 'screenshots' folder on my laptop. I would like my steam deck to send the screenshots that I take on it to that same folder, or have it synchronized somehow. What is the best or most intuitive way of accomplishing this?
