Hmm, my thinking was that journeys that use the full range of the electric vehicle are the exception though.

So in your example, it makes sense to have a ICE vehicle as you require the range. Most of us though don't need that range. Most of us are unlikely to regularly be driving over 200 miles for a commute, and therefore EVs make sense for all of these people.

For your scenario, if you are motivated enough to do this, it might even work out cheaper to buy an EV, and rent an ICE car for your longer trip. But fair enough that this would be much less convenient.

One source for my thinking: https://www.statista.com/chart/24684/average-duration-of-a-one-way-commute/

In the UK, that's pretty damn good money. If you are able to plan financially at all you can comfortably pay off a mortgage and live off that amount of money for the 12 years.

Makes sense that there would be some nerves involved then. Even if you're not feeling them consciously. I'm sure there's a risk to dating someone you've built such a good friendship with.

Good on you for going for it!

Nice. I imagine you have been looking forward to dating a lot?

You've known each other for 3 years? Wow that's cool! How long did you know you liked her?

What's this thing recently about using 'im too autistic too...' or 'because of my autism '?

It feels like people are using this like we've used 'retarded' in the past.

Kinda sucks.

updoots encourages circlejerk

I mean, making a post about hating on Reddit, on Lemmy, is pretty circlejerky too at this point.

repeated posts (sh.itjust.works)

Is anyone else noticing a lot of repeated posts in their feeds recently?

Almost each time I go through my subscribed, local, or all feeds I am now seeing the same post from the same community multiple times.

I'm using 'last 6 hours' as a filter if that helps.

I thought the point being made here is that they should be making enough money to not have to resort to Only fans.

What does whether they're getting it on in camp or not have to do with this article?

I hope articles like this about the Tories keep up throughout labours time in power so people don't forget on the next GE.

Your last point is pretty much the most likely way to excel in life too, unfortunately.

You're lucky if you do actually like the person you have to suck up to.

I think your downvotes are because your "reversal" is not particularly valid, not because your opinion is contrary.

As others have said, it would need the US to first be invading Mexico before Russia or other countries start propping Mexico up militarily.

Jesus Christ. All these requirements for something most people didn't ask for:

System requirements for Recall

Your PC needs the following minimum system requirements for Recall:

A Copilot+ PC

16 GB RAM

8 logical processors

256 GB storage capacity

To enable Recall, you’ll need at least 50 GB of storage space free

Saving screenshots automatically pauses once the device has less than 25 GB of storage space

not everyone can do it

Also good to remember that almost nobody can do it everyday. It's definitely good to be consistent with one's approach, however all parents are human and will lose patience at times.

I'm trying to convince my wife to come over to lemmy but want to fulfill her community wants.

Does anybody know any communities for mums or parents in general?
