A comment like this one saved me from giving up on my aging phone.

No matter how convinced you are you definitely cleaned it, there still could be a little bit more stuck in there.

I came here to warn people of the dangers of putting "anime girls" and "breeding" in the same sentence, but I see I'm already too late.

Came here to say this. You think it's a joke but the joke's on you

I heard that person actively contributed for something like 2 years, providing actually useful contributions, to gain the level of trust needed to plant that backdoor. Feels a bit too much to chalk it up to boredom.

As for the second part, that's an interesting question. Are there lots of backdoors and we just happened to notice this one, or are backdoors very rare exactly because we'd have found them out soon like in this case?

I label myself as straight, but I agree with that theory.

Sexuality being a scale, I believe very few people are 100% straight or gay. That means that identifying as bi is for many a matter of societal context and expectations shaping one's perception. Say you on occasion find someone whose gender is not your preferred one attractive: you could either dismiss it as "I'm just noticing they're attractive, nothing more", or consider you might be somewhat bi.

What I find most amusing (and in a way very sad too) are those bigots that claim homosexuality or bisexuality to be a choice because, as they say, "everyone finds people of the same sex attractive, but you have to resist the temptation". Like, dude, you're super gay, just accept and enjoy it.

I don't think school should emulate work.

Learning (well) isn't easy, attention spans are limited and after some time you get rapidly diminishing results.

I personally like the sound of inverting the structure we use for learning, meaning assigning the "theory" as homework and using class time to discuss or apply it afterwards.

At least that has the benefit of letting every student manage their time, spending more time on harder (for them) subjects.
