Personally, I believe this is a fairly big reason as to why the majority of people are disillusioned with politics and would rather not discuss it. I mean no offense to you or your comment. Truly, I only mean that in the grand scheme of things, your reply has many words that don't address any substantial problems.

Surely wanting an equally free, comfortable, and good quality of life for as many as possible while using empirical data is not the same as spreading hate and disinformation?

choosing a marvel movie to use as a way to ground people is possibly not the best idea.

[-] utopianrevolt@lemmy.world 10 points 10 months ago

definitely not. most people around this world are spiritually defeated, constantly being bombarded by reminders that things generally suck. it prevents people from striving for their full potential, because they don't think it'll ever happen.

we're all capable of it, and I truly believe there is a growing movement that isn't directly being publicized. just like this post implies, we'll get there.

that's a really disappointing response instead of taking a few extra seconds to protect people who want to have spoiler-free discussions.

the idea of decentralized currency is great and has merit, but the most current iteration got hijacked by a bunch of con artists.

For those who don't want to pay to remove ads, there's always some pretty great open-source alternatives. Sync is the only app so far to truly care about foldable phones and I wanted to support the dev, so I paid to remove ads but I understand why others might be apprehensive.

Seems more like you're projecting a reality that isn't the case. Moreso projecting a weird defensive attitude over a social media application when people are, understandably, concerned about their data privacy. I think we should keep this type of attitude over on the Reddit side.
