i agree, but not by passive aggressively shitting on people's life choices in a social media comment section.

choosing a marvel movie to use as a way to ground people is possibly not the best idea.

How about ignore the quips and run for local office?

it's not the same thing at all, but I found that my Steam Deck with Windows 10 LTSC 2021 installed works flawlessly as a media server with Jellyfin installed. I've found myself thinking that it's the best contemporary equivalent of a Shield that we're gonna get.

definitely not. most people around this world are spiritually defeated, constantly being bombarded by reminders that things generally suck. it prevents people from striving for their full potential, because they don't think it'll ever happen.

we're all capable of it, and I truly believe there is a growing movement that isn't directly being publicized. just like this post implies, we'll get there.

I legitimately don't believe that Americans generally dislike smart political candidates, but instead have grown to distrust those same candidates because their intelligence is mostly used to deceive.

After decades of faux-concern-for-national-wellbeing, it's understandable really. Along comes someone who incorporates fake populism and preys on the unfounded, uneducated fears of many. That person, either haphazardly or intentionally (my money is on the former), exposes the deep-rooted corruption on the American federal government.

it feels like the "promises" (read: lies) of neoliberalism have screwed over many first world nations.

a lot of what you excellently described is going on in the United States as well, for the most part.

many kudos to our French brothers and sisters and their massive protests. I'm not sure what needs to be done, but I hope that people around the world can take back what is rightfully theirs: equality, true freedom from oppressive, corrupt governments, and an honest living

You're completely right, but it's also highlighted when people on the internet discuss things they know nothing about but decide to become very sarcastic against "the other side."

smug superiority indeed. many examples in this very thread.

and much more.... centralized? But let's also just ignore the part where it's described as generally more secure as well.

it doesn't, but for sure dispels the myth that the US isn't evil.

Probably not what you're looking for but Nobara is great.

all of the above
