My main concerns are:

  1. More unsprung weight is always bad for suspension performance and handling.

  2. Whenever you have to replace the rear tire, you're also going to have to disconnect the electric connections from the motor, which coupled with the extra vibration from being unsprung, introduces a greater risk of one of the connections coming loose during riding.

  3. If you are in an accident or hit a pothole that damages the rear wheel, you're going to have to get an OEM replacement that will be expensive because the motor is integrated into it

Ketchup needs to be refrigerated because it's a cooling fluid for boiling lava hot potatoes.

I switched from FFX to Chrome back in the day because Chrome tabs were all independent processes in task manager, and one crappy website wouldn't kill my whole browser.

When Google started their war on addons, I switched back to Firefox.

Aspect ratio is off (3024x1964 MBP vs 3840x2160 UHD) but it's not exactly a low resolution display.

That is truly a revolting thought.

Yes, but where the carbon comes from does matter. Burning fossil fuels is bad because it reintroduces previously sequestered carbon back into the atmosphere. If we can shorten the carbon cycle and simultaneously reduce the total amount of free carbon in the atmosphere, it's still a net positive, even though we would still be burning hydrocarbons.

Of course the less we burn, the better, and I'm sure the water resources used to make the "renewable" fuel are just as problematic and wasteful.

I didn't have a single teacher or librarian who would discourage a kid from reading a book, unless a 6th grader tried checking out a clearly adult intended book like a harlequin novel or something.

He wasn't introduced as a nazi, none of those MP's knew the truth about who they were standing for, and they wouldn't have if they did. Somebody didn't do background research, and old nazi never should have been anywhere near parliament. It's incompetence all around.

If someone wants to host something, NAT won't stop them. IMO the bigger problem is that most folks have neither time, skill, nor interest to make p2p a reality. I'm a pretty savvy admin, host a lot of services for myself and family, but I don't pretend to be good enough or vigilant enough to run anything public, i.e. mail server, lemmy server, etc, without major security concerns.

I think they meant they have 100 watts worth of LED bulbs, the equivalent of 1000 watts of incandescents.
