I know Trump is dumb. I know his administration is dumb. I still can't fathom that someone is this stupid. Does he really think all goods that are currently being imported will magically start being produced in the US, just because he puts import tax on them? I just can't wrap my head around someone being so incredibly naive so he either must be

1. Actively trying to destroy the american economy, probably because Putin wants him to
2. There is some other plan that we just don't see yet Or 3. He really is that stupid.

This got me thinking. Is there any client app that lets you tag users? I know this used to be a function on reddit. I rarely read usernames so it would be really cool if I could tag someone and their username would have a little reminder on them so I could instantly see I talked to that person before.

I'm also pretty new around here and I understand the connection between the lemmy instances but how does mastodon fit into this? Can I comment here with my mastodon account and vice versa?

I recently read an article that suggested the best retaliation would be to stop enforcing US intellectual property in the EU. One of the biggest exports they have is media, if we would stop enforcing their copyright it would cost them a lot of money.

The key card thing is seriously infuriating, both from a consumer standpoint and from a media conservation standpoint.

Basically you own a game cartridge, but as soon as Nintendo shuts down their servers for whatever reason it becomes a useless piece of plastic. They really don't want us to own anything anymore.

Right? Why did nobody tell me that being adult just meant everybody around you essentially larps as an adult?

Also as a child you assume that adults automatically have their shit together and then at some point you realise that almost no one has.

As an european I've been mentally screaming this over the atlantic for months. GET ORGANIZED NOW! Reach out in your community, protest as much as possible, get armed, learn self defense, stockpile essential goods and most importantly, support each other.

Do not take it down! They are acting exactly according to plan and the next step is to have people like you be afraid to openly display your ideals. Taking down that flag would be a win for them.

I understand that it is frightening and the urge to fly under the radar is growing, but now isn't the time to take those flags down. It's the time to fly them high.

Oh da kann ich einen draufsetzen. Ich hab ernsthaft mal jemanden sagen hören, als es in der Diskussion um Obdachlosigkeit ging, wie man das selber ja viel besser machen würde und wie geil es doch eigentlich wäre so viel Freiheit zu haben. Man könnte ja rumreisen und an vielen verschiedenen Orten sein anstatt immer am selben HBF zu hängen.

Selten so erlebt, dass jemand nicht checkt, wie priviligiert er ist.
