They tested against MOCKS and then went to prod! Fuckn' QA is there for a reason.

I tried it briefly, but I wanted docker integration. I don't think it comes preinstalled anywhere. I had built my own nas with some old PC parts and a bunch of new drives.

OpenMediaVault?

I hadn't used gitea for long. I just had both running, and then cloned my repos one at a time manually. So long as I had the code, I didn't really care.

Ummmmm, what is an AI browser? I mean, other than something I don't want.

Does it browse AI generated content? Does it generate AI web pages for me? Does it just set chatgpt/copilot/grok/gemini as the homepage/default search? Does it use AI to customize content to your language/reading level? Does it flag non-AI content as potentially malicious like an http site?

I'm so lost.

Yea, hopefully downstream browsers can remove that AI garbage.

This is what I was using till I switched to forgejo and never got around to setting up one of their runners.

My company is semi-large. Big enough that their IT dept semi-supports linux. My manager didn't know about it, but after being at the company for a year using windows, I finally found the right desktop team that hooked me up with a massive document on how to install linux following corporate policy. So, now I'm rocking Ubuntu. Not in my top 10 choices, but a far cry better than the Windows 11 rollout the company warned us of.

Work from home!

So, does anyone know of any good foss calendar that has better notifications than the stock google one?

I'd like to be able to add notifications at/before the event AND notifications at/before the end of the event.

Scenario: Child has a bday party at friend's house.

I want to be able to set the activity's length, say 2hrs. Set a notification before the event to remind me when I need to leave to drop them off, and set a notification before the end to go pick them up.

I think it's annoying to have to create a second event to remind me to pick them up. and with multiple children and events the calendar gets cluttered with duplicates.

Suggestions?

I'm looking for some good space opera. I read a lot on royal road and KU. I love space opera, but I'm sick of military and AI tropes. Any good suggestions? The more ship to ship battles the better. I understand that may be counter-intuitive, but I've read several privateer/freighter/scrapper books that were amazing. Looking for more of the same.

Thanks!
