All you're gonna find here is blind defence of Sync. I used it for Reddit and it was amazing, but honestly, the Lemmy app isn't worth it. Voyager is great if you're looking for an alternative. It's free and it's maintained with updates almost every week.

Does anyone know whether apexcharts cards is going to be supported moving forward. Doesn't appear to have been any updates in some time.

Trying to work out whether it's best to just stick to mini graph cards instead.

I'm sure there used to be a way to remove spoilers from Sport notifications that Google sends. I can't seem to find any settings for it anymore, other than turning them off altogether.

Anyone know if you can still turn off spoilers from Sports notifications?

I recently got solar installed at my place and was wondering if anyone had tips on things like:

  • Using the Energy dashboard effectively
  • Template Sensors I should set up for energy tracking
  • Graphs or visualising production/usage in dashboards
  • Automations that you've used to help save using energy from the grid

Warrior Jar Shard (lemmy.world)

I'm making my way through new game plus and thought I'd try collect some of the weapons and items I missed first time around. Warrior Jar Shard is one I'm not too proud of collecting.

The developer posted this and asked to let him know how it looked. Hence, I provided some feedback.

Yeah I noticed it had been changed. My feedback is that it's still too high. Sorry. The app is still in beta and missing major functionality. I think you may also need to look at some competitors as I haven't seen any priced like Sync and some are actually pretty damn good. I'm really enjoying Voyager for example.

I totally understand you need to make a living, but this isn't Reddit. And I'd rather put some of my money towards supporting the instances I use, rather than just in the app I use to access them.

I'm sure you're gonna do fine. You've got a great app and plenty of support. Just wanted to provide some honest feedback.

Still too much in Australia. Sorry, want to support the work like on Sync for Reddit. But this app doesn't even have functionality to post yet and is $25 to remove ads. It just doesn't feel right considering it's the fediverse and there are no ads at the source.

I know you need to make a living. So you do what you need to.

Honestly, he strikes me more like someone whose true passion is comedy, but he's stuck in a leading man's body. He seems to have spent a fair bit of time post Mad Men doing plenty of comedic (or less serious) roles or bits. I'm just happy that he's still getting opportunities and wasn't so typecast after Mad Men that he wasn't getting a shot at much else.

I wonder if that comment would be different if the show was Severance instead of Corner Office. Adam Scott is great in that role, but a big part of it's success is also the team around the show. And that's not easy to come by.

I'm not sure Microsoft did this generation of consoles any favours by launching the Series S.

Wow. What an experience.

It wasn't all smooth sailing. I even took a month break thinking I might not come back to it, but boy I'm glad I did.

I'm new to souls like, only having played Elden Ring before this (which was amazing). Sekiro was a game that I picked up afterwards, and struggled with early on. It felt like a departure to everything I'd learned in gaming to this point. You don't want to dodge, you want to deflect. Holding block helps you recover. Parrying will beat a boss quicker than trying to drive down their health. Once these things start to click, defeating bosses feels like a true accomplishment.

Fighting the end game bosses had my heart rate going like no other boss battles I can remember. Elden Ring had some memorable and awe inspiring bosses, but the feeling in Sekiro when you're about to break the posture of a boss for a final deathblow was indescribable.

If there's anyone left who hasn't given Sekiro a go, do yourself a favour. It takes some time for it to click, but when it does, it's something special.

It doesn't help that users might be split across instances. I posted recently over on this instance: !patientgamers@lemmy.ml

I didn't want to repeat my post and annoy people who might see it two or three times.

Was really hoping battery life is improved, but that's not looking too likely...

The problem is that it's a lot easier to implement agile poorly, than it is to implement it in a way that works.

You've essentially described what agile shouldn't be. The fact it's called agile, means people assume it just means you can change things whenever you want because that's being "agile". That isn't what agile methodology is meant to be. If that's what you're experiencing, then it's being done wrong. And it's frustrating because this is extremely common.

Waterfall can be just as bad. I've worked on plenty of waterfall projects only to spend months of my time on things that never see the light of day. Things change, and waterfall can rarely deal with change mid-project without starting over. It's completely dependent on the context of the work.

You started out asking whether it's a game or simulation, then ended up talking about card pulls. Clearly it's a game then right?

Just start making coffee. You might find it improves over time. Whether it's seasoning, you getting more consistent, or getting better at dialling in those beans, you may as well be drinking coffee during the process. I wouldn't just sit there and grind beans to throw away. It's too much of a waste.

You can't say something is "objectively" better than. Then proceed to list "subjective" opinions. Clearly you dislike gesture navigation, which is fine, but that doesn't make it objectively worse.

Remember when Dame talked about how loyal he was when other players were demanding trades? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
