This community was created in reaction to the reddit API fiasco that is currently on-going. I admittedly don't really have any previous experience as an online community moderator, nor do I have any plans set in stone for this space. Please feel free to use this thread to comment any suggestions or things you'd like to see in this community, or otherwise just say hi!

(Happy National Acadian Day to all Acadians!)

Craquez-vous une Alpine, mettez du 1755 ou les Hay Babies, pis faites du tapage pour laisser savoir aux Anglais qu'on est still là!

I'm looking for something around the North East area. I enjoy nature, good accommodations, good people. I'm interested in recommendations for all year round, recommendations for summer and recommendations for winter too.

Also, not required, but is there better times to visit, say to visit indigenous, Acadian, or any festivals up that way.

Any good hiking trails, places to see, paddle boat rentals, museums, escape room, local restaurants and cafes, parks, places to swim such as rivers, nice beaches.

I feel like northern New Brunswick doesn't get enough love. Neither do many of the indigenous communities in the province. The Fundy and other south west NB communities get way more attention and money than they deserve.

I want to support our good people of the North!

I'm a Toronto resident planning my first trip to NB/NS. I tried to lookup for car rental services in early August, but the rental companies are either sold out, or providing rocket-high price (200+ cad pre tax)

I'm curious that, if this is common in previous years? Any suggests if I'd have a road trip in Atlantic provinces?

Thank you!

LeBrun describes the new model as a "rapidly deployable, courtyard-style housing model" made up of 14 individual units with communal bathrooms and showers. Wrap-around services and community support are also integral to his vision, as LeBrun looks to house the nearly 200 people living rough in Fredericton.

It's important that the units be "ultra-low barrier," he said.

"You take away all the reasons why people choose to stay outside. There's no curfew, you have a private space that's lockable, you don't have to leave during the daytime.
