I am developing a self-sustaining eco-socialist community in rural Montana. This is only possible because I was lucky enough to have a friend who sold me property cheaply and then to come into enough of an inheritance to pay it off. Your mileage will absolutely vary.
Hey uhh how big is this community going to be? Montana is the most beautiful state I've been in.
get some people together to buy the adjoining property and it could be a lot bigger

OK, create a circle centered on the state capitol. Which multiple of 50 represents the radius in miles required before the circle is big enough to contain the community?

By my own definition that's pretty far away, but I'll ask my cousin what he thinks.
Hopefully there's rivers or a lake nearby for when the nukes start dropping
