How does a tank shell or even sustained tank fire take out 4 sergeants and a captain with zero privates being harmed? Did the tank light up a staff meeting or what?

The meme that every conscript in Israel is an officer is somewhat based on truth. They give out promotions very readily to try to ego boost conscripts so they'll stay in the colonial occupation forces longer.
