This is a fondant au chocolat, which roughly means melting chocolate cake, it's a small cake with a liquid chocolate core.
It's not fondant as in cake fondant, which is an abomination.

It's a literal chocolate cake (usually cupcake/muffin sized) with an added chocolate chunk right before (or after) baking. No sugar paste fondant garbage in that.

You misunderstand, I think the chocolate cake with gooey chocolate in the middle looks awesome.

I'm implying fondant is comparable to playdough.
