I remember reading 'Anne of Green Gables'—she was just a girl looking for peace, often misunderstood, much like her first encounter with Rachel Lynde. Anne wasn’t the villain; she was often the victim of harsh judgments. I’m glad they became friends in the end.
I don't think I've ever read it, tbh... But growing up in Atlantic Canada, she is inescapable.
