over the top cartoonish DEI

Suggest to consider why you're highlighting DEI a an issue. I only see such stuff from pretty right wing media.

A common trick is to blame problems on a group. E.g. black people, gay people, trans people, etc. DEI fits right into that.

It's really hard to explain their actions as being profit-driven.

Why are people outraged? Currently the blame is on trans and DEI. You're blaming Disney instead of the ones promoting yet another group as the cause why stuff is bad.

I'm just asking how much of an ally Disney really is. To me, it just seems to be a way to hit the hornets nest, and build up tons of resentment among a certain set of people that might be centrist/apolitical in the first place. I don't think it's helping the liberal/leftist cause - if anything it just seems like performance art crafted to anger a lot of people that for class reasons, might vote Democratic.
