My ex (again) dragged me through the first four seasons, it was aggrivating that 1 was filler, 2 had sorta plot movement, and 3 reset itself at the end...
Maybe it's in better hands now?
The first 3 Volumes are rough.
I’d honestly consider them more one single Volume or Arc.
I think the show gets better in pretty much every way going forward, but it’s not without it’s faults which I could go on about.
I didn't love Vol 4 either so I dropped it, Idk :) the unironic anti-catgirl racism is moderately hilarious though.
Also, dang, better after Monty Oum? Brutal...
I mean Monty's main contribution was mostly the fight scenes alongside a rough outline of the world and story.
I am more talking characters, writing, art style, over-all animation. etc.
